Sahrkan and Meï-Shô did not fuse voluntarily.
Their bodies were forcibly bound together by a ritual imposed by a third party.
A hooded figure manipulates their souls, throwing them into a well of pure Eclipsium.
This figure speaks in an ancient Oxarian language:

Belle steps back, distraught.
