Mom is the bad dragon; what about Dad?

In the evening, Leon returned to the room, dragging his exhausted body. He was so tired that he didn't even have the energy to change his shoes. When he came in, he headed straight for the bedroom and collapsed on the bed.

After a moment, the door lock clicked, and high heels lightly tapped on the floor, walking in slowly.

Leon knew it was Rossweise who had come, but he couldn't get up and look at her. Today, he finally saw the true face of this dragoness—stubborn, extreme, and scheming.

Making Leon take care of the kid was one thing, but making him drag his emptied-out body to accompany Muwen in playing games was another.

"Come on, Mother Dragon. Just two days ago, I was still in a coma lying in bed, and now you want me to play with a little dragon girl who's as energetic as a husky all day long. It seems like you really wish for me to depart this world sooner, huh?"

Leon muttered under his breath as Rossweise reached the bedside.

"Dead?" The queen asked coldly.

Leon kicked his legs twice to indicate that he was still alive.

"Very well, your vitality is more tenacious than I expected," said the queen.

"You have a sense of humour, Your Majesty the Queen," Leon snorted.

Rossweise didn't respond further. Instead, she approached, bent down, and placed the already sleeping Muwen in Leon's arms.

Leon smelled the unique milky fragrance on the little dragon girl, opened his eyes, and found her youthful face just centimetres from his nose.

Muwen had her eyes slightly closed, her small pink fists clenched gently, and a hint of weariness between her eyebrows, but a subtle smile adorned her lips.

"She hasn't been this happy in a long time," Rossweise said.

Rossweise sat at the edge of the bed with her back turned to Leon and Muwen.

Moonlight poured in from the window, casting a soft glow on the bed. The room was very quiet, with only the rhythmic sound of Muwen's breathing.

Leon rolled his eyes. After a brief silence, Rossweise added, "My sister is coming tomorrow. She probably wants to discuss some internal dragon clan matters with me and pay a visit. So tomorrow, you can only play with Muwen in the room. You can't go outside, understand?"

Leon's thoughts stirred slightly. He chuckled, withdrew his gaze from Rosswessi's back, and refocused on Muwen.

He reached out, gently stroking Muwen's hair, and said, "Understood. Being involved with a human is really beneath the dignity of the Silver Dragon Queen, so we can't let outsiders see."

"No, to outsiders, you're a very eligible bachelor dragon. You find it troublesome on ordinary days, so keep your tail tucked away."

Hearing this, Leon bounced up from the bed, "What did you—"

"Hush~ Muwen is still sleeping."

Leon glanced at Muwen, then lowered his tone, "What did you say? You told your dragon people that I'm also a dragon?"

"Well, what else? I have to make everyone believe that you, me, and our daughter are a happy family. And you, Leon Cosmodeous, are a dragon who married into the Silver Dragon clan. You fell into a coma due to some illness for two years and just woke up these past two days."

Rossweise grinned, "How about it? I'm pretty good at making up stories, huh?"

"Not good at all…"

"Why not satisfied?" Rossweise Chuckled.

"No," Leon retorted.

Leon waved his hand, lying back down. He closed his eyes, trying to digest his new identity.

A dragon suitable for marriage, who disliked trailing tails, married into the Silver Dragon clan and fell into a coma for two years due to illness—a male dragon.

It was indeed an all-encompassing defence without a single loophole. If Leon weren't a dragon slayer, one might even praise,

"You did well, Rossweise."

"So you've given me a new identity. Why not let me meet your family?"

"You said it yourself, this identity is fabricated. It can't be flawless. My sister is clever, I'm afraid she might see through something," Rossweise said.

Leon didn't respond immediately. Instead, he started to think about his own plans. Rossweise had just mentioned that her sister was coming to discuss internal dragon clan matters with her. Was it something like a regular inspection in human societies?

Leon pursed his lips and asked, "Is your sister's visit something significant?"

Rossweise frowned, "If you dare to cause trouble, don't blame me for not being polite."

"You don't think you're being polite to me now, do you?"

Rossweise gave him a disdainful look, then stood and walked towards the bedroom door.

At the entrance, Rossweise whispered, "Tomorrow, take good care of Muwen. Don't leave this room, don't cause trouble for me."

The sound of the door lock echoed. The door lock echoed again, and high heels tapping on the floor gradually faded.

Leon breathed a sigh of relief, muttering, "She's still a dragon who cares about appearances. She's keeping up the facade even if it's a fake family. What's the point?"

Leon could probably guess how Rossweise would answer this question:

"For revenge."

She kept the defeated Leon close, robbed him of his dignity and pride, and even assigned him a dragon identity to make him pay the price.

Since Leon tarnished Rossweise in the past, now she wanted to return the humiliation she endured. Indeed, dragon-kind's revenge was something Leon, as a human, couldn't comprehend.

But whether he understood or not, Leon still felt the need to disgust Rossweise. He was already figuring out how to deal with that scheming dragoness tomorrow.

For her, it would undoubtedly be the ultimate social death!

"Mmm—"

A soft hum came from Muwen beside him. Immediately after, she curled up her tiny body, and her tail crawled up to cover her waist.

Leon, seeing this, quickly pinched the corner of the quilt and covered Muwen with it.

Muwen snuggled into the soft blanket, the instinct of living beings seeking warmth prompting her to move closer to Leon's embrace.

She gently pinched the corner of Leon's clothes, murmuring in a blurry dream, "Daddy… Muwen likes playing with Daddy… Hmm~ Mommy has never played with Muwen … Let's bring Mommy along next time, okay?"

Damn.

She didn't play with her daughter, but she dreamt of her.

Rossweise, she had no heart!

Leon planned to take the opportunity to influence the little dragon girl.

"Mommy is a bad dragon. Let's not bring Mommy to play, okay?" Leon said.

"Mommy… is… a bad dragon…"

"Yeah, yeah, Mommy is a bad dragon, very naughty," Leon added fuel to the fire.

"Then Daddy should become a bad dragon, too, right?"

Failed to influence. Long-term planning is needed!
