Synopsis

Suzuki Yuujin lost his parents and began living a more complicated life alongside his sister, Suzuki Misaki. Now, they live with their aunt, Suzuki Emi, and have been enrolled in a new school, forced to adapt to a new reality.

Amidst so many changes, Yuujin meets Shizukamy Aoki, a 14-year-old boy passionate about music, who quickly feels comfortable around the older boy. The story revolves around the development of the relationship between Yuujin and Aoki, their adaptation to a new life, and also Misaki's personal dilemmas.

Aoki, two years younger than Yuujin, is fun, sings, is cheerful, and always wears a smile—even if he hides various family problems behind it.

Yuujin is 16 years old. He's taller, with an athletic build, and maintains a closed-off, serious demeanor. Since losing his parents, he seems increasingly distant from people, as if building walls to protect himself.

Misaki, on the other hand, is spontaneous and extroverted. She likes to talk but hates discussing their parents, as the longing silently consumes her. Because of this, she prefers to smile and avoid the topic as a form of emotional defense.

Aunt Emi, only 26 years old, had to take on responsibilities early. She's a kind, sociable woman who deeply loves her nephews—even as she feels the weight of caring for two teenagers alone.

Coming from Osaka to Tokyo, Yuujin and Misaki feel the impact of the change, especially regarding the cost of living, which is a recurring topic in their conversations.

To help at home, Yuujin gets a small job, as his aunt's salary is only enough for herself. With two more mouths to feed, the young man's effort becomes essential.
