"Which means we need to put our heads together and figure out what they're doing before they do it," Elton says. "I don't know much, but I've learned that Cult of Fenris chieftain, or whatever he wants to call himself, is Oliver Boone, and he works for a company called Huvud Development, a real estate and brokerage firm. And apparently they're in protracted legal disputes with every club in the Valley, including Hog Throne."
You glance up at the rafters of this decaying barn. The question is obvious: who would ever want this hulk?
"I have an idea," Elton says to your unasked question. "The Cult don't care about the farm. They're trying to exert control over the clubs because clubs are good sources of revenue, and the Cult of Fenris have cash flow problems."
"So it's just a dumb shakedown?" These Cultists are idiots. I'm wondering if maybe we can shake down the shake-downers.
"You can shake clubs down for money directly, but you can also use them as drop points. Should we be following the money? Or the drugs?"
"I thought the Shadow Lords were supposed to play at being Mafia dons. Isn't that part of the Litany?"
"So they're not just here for the heavy metal and the horrible puppets?"
"Do you think they're into the nasty stuff, too? Human trafficking?"
