Chapter 52

Chapter 52

Two days later.

Time flew by in the blink of an eye and it was already the last day of the banquet.

Rexid and I sent off the nobles in front of the castle gates one by one that morning.

The guests were all moved by the gesture that seemed unusual for the grand duke, who did not maintain any kind of relationship with the nobles despite being the hegemon of the northern region.

We were finally able to relax after sending off the family of Marquis Parssen and Count Jacqueline’s people who stayed until the end.

“This really doesn’t suit me,” Rexid murmured as the muscles around his mouth spasmed slightly, probably from forcing a smile for such a long time.

I spoke as I fixed his messy collar, “You have to get used to it even if it doesn’t suit you. You will have to face many more nobles in the empire from now on.

“I know. It wasn’t too bad, was it?”

“Yes, you did well. Keep it up.”
