Chapter 5: Technique

Chapter 5: Technique

The three children found themselves looking at each other again. Tsumiki looked at the large white dog squatting by Kamihara Hajime's feet and had to admit that when it wasn't acting silly, it looked quite handsome.

Finding a topic, Tsumiki spoke, "Hello, my name is Fushiguro Tsumiki, and this is my younger brother, Megumi Fushiguro. Is this your dog?"

Kamihara Hajime nodded. "My name is Kamihara Hajime. This was given to me by an uncle. Its name is White Wolf."

Tsumiki gave a sweet smile. "Can I call you Hajime? Megumi has two dogs too, although I can't see them. Megumi says one is black and one is white, but I can see your dog!"

Kamihara Hajime didn't explain what a Curse Technique/Cursed Corpse was; he just let them assume it was a normal dog. After all, on the surface, there didn't seem to be any difference.

White Wolf squatted on the ground, panting with its tongue out. Perhaps it understood Tsumiki's words, as its tail wagged even more happily. Although Megumi Fushiguro was also a cold-faced boy, with his sister beside him, he was relatively quiet and polite.

With White Wolf as an opening topic, the three gradually became familiar with each other. Megumi Fushiguro even reluctantly summoned a large white dog at Tsumiki's request.

Kamihara Hajime watched as he put his hands together, forming a dog's head like a shadow puppet, and then Megumi Fushiguro's shadow rippled, and the white dog emerged from it.

Perhaps because White Wolf was a Curse Technique/Cursed Corpse with Cursed Energy, the large white dog, known as Jade Hounds, got along quite well with White Wolf. Mainly, Tsumiki, though still young, was very gentle and kind in how she treated people and things, as evidenced by how obedient the cold-faced boy was in front of his sister.

After playing for almost an afternoon, Kamihara Hajime, who had intended to say goodbye and leave, was persuaded to stay for dinner. Thinking about it, according to Kamihara Hajime's memory, he should be able to cook himself, though reaching the stove might be a bit difficult. However, seeing Megumi Fushiguro's displeased expression, Kamihara Hajime smiled and agreed.

Dinner was made by Tsumiki; it was very ordinary and home-cooked, but Kamihara Hajime ate very happily, almost vying with Megumi Fushiguro. Megumi Fushiguro looked at the boy opposite him with some annoyance. This guy... why is he so familiar? And he's been staying here, not leaving. He's almost stolen his sister...

As soon as he thought about Gojo Satoru saying he would have to go to school with him later, Megumi Fushiguro poked the rice in his bowl even harder. Then his sister next to him saw it and said, "Megumi, eat properly, stop playing." This made him even more depressed.

...

After saying goodbye to the Fushiguro siblings, Kamihara Hajime returned to his future residence. Upon entering, he found the place quite large, especially with only him as a child, it seemed even more spacious and quiet. However, Kamihara Hajime felt no fear; he just silently lamented that Gojo Satoru was indeed as unreliable as Yaga Masamichi had said...

White Wolf darted around, getting familiar with the place. Kamihara Hajime also explored the three-story house, picking a room on the second floor with good sunlight to be his bedroom. The house was very clean, and the utilities were all normal. It seemed someone had tidied it up before. Perhaps Gojo Satoru wasn't completely unreliable after all.

After spending his first unfamiliar night there, Kamihara Hajime woke up the next day and made a simple breakfast of fried eggs, bread, and milk from the ingredients in the refrigerator. Not long after he finished eating, he heard a knock at the door.

Opening the door, he saw a smiling Gojo Satoru. Before Kamihara Hajime could say anything, Gojo Satoru spoke first, "Get ready, I'll take you to test your Technique, and by the way, I'll tell you some common knowledge of the Jujutsu World."

Kamihara Hajime turned back, picked up White Wolf, and then there was the familiar scene transition. Gojo Satoru seemed to have brought him to Tokyo Jujutsu High again. Kamihara Hajime also saw Yaga Masamichi standing not far away, but this was not the campus area, but a desolate piece of land.

Kamihara Hajime, who had been put down, heard Yaga Masamichi's dissatisfied voice. "Gojo, he's still young. Are you in such a hurry?"

Gojo Satoru waved his hand. "Don't worry, Hajime is very talented, and his Technique is a bit special; we need to figure it out."

Gojo Satoru clapped his hands. "Teacher Yaga Masamichi is a very good teacher. This time I invited him to explain some common knowledge of the Jujutsu World to you."

Yaga Masamichi walked forward, ignoring White Wolf, who wasamentul frolicking towards him, and put on a serious expression. "I'll start with some basic things."

"Human negative emotions generate Cursed Energy and give rise to Curses. In our country, an average of over ten thousand people die or go missing inexplicably each year, most of which are caused by Curses. Techniques, on the other hand, are innate talents some people possess. After they master their Cursed Energy, they use it to drive their own Techniques to exorcise Cursed Spirits, and they are then called Jujutsu Sorcerers."

"Techniques are very peculiar. Cough... You provisionally understand them as superpowers. Technique, Cursed Energy, and physical combat are all essential subjects for Jujutsu Sorcerers."

"For example, Gojo, his Technique is called Limitless. It might sound a bit complicated, but essentially, any object that gets closer to him slows down, thus never being able to touch him. Most Jujutsu Sorcerers' Techniques are actually public, because this also serves as a binding vow, enhancing the Technique's power by revealing its information. Gojo also has the inherited Six Eyes, which allows him to see the flow of Cursed Energy and even the operation of Techniques. Your Technique is unknown; to understand what it is, you'll either have to use it more or rely on Gojo to judge."

Gojo Satoru interjected from the side, "That's right~ So Hajime, demonstrate your Technique."

Kamihara Hajime was actually quite curious about what his Technique was. He cooperated well, saying, "Sometimes I enter a special state where I have incredibly fast speed, and everything around me seems to be still."

As he spoke, Kamihara Hajime activated his Technique, feeling the Cursed Energy within him trigger something. Then that state reappeared, and Gojo Satoru seemed to still be able to keep up with him, while Yaga Masamichi was a bit slower.

After a brief dozen seconds, with Yaga Masamichi's serious expression, Gojo Satoru's playful demeanor lessened, and the blindfold over his eyes was already gone. He raised his right hand, and a ball of blue light rose from his fingers. Gojo Satoru said to Kamihara Hajime, "Try to release Cursed Energy like this."

Kamihara Hajime had experience with this, and now with Gojo Satoru's guidance, although he didn't seem very suited to be a teacher, Kamihara Hajime still barely understood. Before long, he successfully and stably condensed a ball of Cursed Energy on his fingertip.

Then Gojo Satoru said, "Now try to apply your Technique to this ball of Cursed Energy and see if it works."

Upon hearing this, Kamihara Hajime tried to control his Technique. It was a very peculiar feeling. For example, the so-called Technique in daily life is like hands and feet; if you don't deliberately perceive it, you ignore its existence because it's one with you.

But when you activate it, the presence of the Technique becomes prominent. Kamihara Hajime could now clearly perceive and control it, to exert some influence on the ball of Cursed Energy before his eyes, so he did so.

Then Kamihara Hajime saw some change in the ball of Cursed Energy. In his vision, the ball of Cursed Energy suddenly disappeared from his fingertip, and then a striking trajectory appeared in the air. Strangely, the sound that followed was not loud, just somewhat sharp.

Yaga Masamichi pondered the situation. If Kamihara Hajime himself moved at an incredibly fast speed, he could barely see some traces, but when that ball of Cursed Energy shot out just now, he couldn't see it at all.

The disappearance of Cursed Energy and its trajectory existed simultaneously in his eyes. This meant that if that attack had been aimed at him, besides his own defense, he would have had no reaction before the attack landed on him.

No dodging or counterattacking, only defense! Although that Cursed Energy wasn't very strong just now, on one hand, Kamihara Hajime didn't use his full power, and on the other hand, he was still young and hadn't learned many ways to use Cursed Energy...

Kamihara Hajime looked a bit tired. In fact, he hadn't held back as much as Yaga Masamichi thought. He hadn't used a massive amount of Cursed Energy like when he killed that giant baby ghost; instead, he focused on speed, which meant driving the Technique.

The speed just now was so fast that even he himself couldn't see it clearly. Gojo Satoru, over there, put his hand to his brow, looking at the residual Cursed Energy disappearing into the sky, then turned to look at Kamihara Hajime. The meaning in those ice-blue eyes, like rare treasures,

System: was very peculiar.

"This is quite something..."

Yaga Masamichi, who was curious, couldn't help but ask, "Gojo, what exactly is his Technique?"

Gojo Satoru's expression became slightly more serious, but a smile still hung on his face. "Time, it's Time!"

"Hajime's Technique concretizes the concept of time. He doesn't strengthen his body with Cursed Energy to speed up like us; he simply accelerates his own time or the time of other things. So, the external manifestation is that his speed or the attacks he launches are terrifyingly fast, because his time is different from ours."

Yaga Masamichi's expression became very surprised. Throughout the history of the Jujutsu World, various Jujutsu have emerged endlessly, and there have been all sorts of abnormally powerful Techniques, such as Master Tengen's Technique, which, simply put, is immortality, and when his body ages to a certain extent, under the effect of his Technique, Master Tengen will evolve to a stronger dimension.

And then there's Gojo, whose Technique is also ridiculously strong, but this was the first time he had seen a Jujutsu Sorcerer's Technique related to time, and such a direct one at that.

Although a Jujutsu Sorcerer's strength isn't solely judged by their Technique, it's undeniable that Technique largely determines a Jujutsu Sorcerer's future potential. But this child, Kamihara Hajime, it's not just his Technique; his Cursed Energy is also somewhat ridiculously vast.

Gojo Satoru, as if telepathically, spoke up. "Hajime's Cursed Energy is also related to his Technique. The generation of his Cursed Energy should have been unconsciously influenced by his Technique early on, so his Cursed Energy generation speed is also very fast."

"Hmm... If I, because of my Limitless Technique and the Six Eyes, have almost no Cursed Energy consumption, then perhaps Hajime might be able to achieve a state where Cursed Energy generation exceeds consumption in the future, thereby achieving 'Infinite Cursed Energy' in a sense..."

After hearing Gojo Satoru's words, Kamihara Hajime looked down at his hands. "Time... Is my Technique time?" At this moment, many figures flashed through his mind... Time... It seemed quite remarkable.

Before he could think more deeply, Kamihara Hajime was pulled over by Gojo Satoru. Gojo Satoru smiled brightly, "How about it? Your Technique is the first of its kind! Do you want to give > it a name?"

Kamihara Hajime paused, then said, "Let's call it... Time Wheel."
