Chapter 74: Thessaly’s Confession

Later that night, under the stars beyond the house, Thessaly found Liss staring at the moon.

"Hey," Thessaly said, nervous. Rare for her.

"You didn't vanish inside your thoughts again, right?"

Liss smiled faintly. "Not this time."

Thessaly sat beside her. Pulled something from her coat.

A small box. Inside—a silver ring, shaped like infinity.

"I had this made the day we beat the Host," she said.

"Didn't know if I'd ever get to give it to you."

Liss stared.

"You're proposing?"

"I'm promising," Thessaly said.

"Wherever we go next—even if gods return, if stars collapse—I'm with you."

Liss didn't cry. She kissed her.

"Then promise kept."

The stars spun. The world held its breath.

And love etched itself deeper into the story.
