Chapter 85: Nyori’s Letter

Back at Emberlight, Nyori wrote in silence.

Not to boast. Not to report. To confess.

"To the one called Liss, I fought someone who fought beside you. He didn't win. Neither did I. But I learned. I want to know why they follow you. I want to meet you myself. I want to see what kind of monster makes people brave."

She sealed the letter with void-ink. Sent it through the sky path.

And stared at her hands.

"Please be the hero they say you are."

Chapter 86: Naia vs The Glass Hunter

In a dead forest of reflective leaves, Naia waited.

One of the Blackglass Hunters had found her. He wore a cloak of mirrors, each shard stolen from someone else's life.

"You're her fire," he hissed.

"If I break you, her light dims."

Naia grinned.

"Then try."

The fight was ugly. No finesse. Just explosions, claws, screams.

The hunter showed her visions—her worst regrets, her darkest days.

Naia burned them all.

"I'm not her fire," she whispered. "I'm mine."

She left him shattered. And walked away with ash in her hair.
