Chapter 4: Training

Nazan looks up and sees a tall man with long white hair and strange marks on his face.

"Huh, who are you?" Nazan asks groggily.

"Yo, I'm Raiyaji. I was your father's teacher back in our day."

"Oh, okay, my father is not here; I'm home alone. Come in, Rajiya," Nazan says.

"It's Raiyaji, not "Rajiya, brat," and I'm here to check your powers.

Since I heard from your father that you can't control your power,

Your power is probably a summoning-type power.

which is useless

if you can't defend yourself and… By the way, look behind you."

Raiyaji says

"Huh?" Nazan looks behind.

and suddenly gets punched super hard in the chest by Raiyaji, and Nazan gets thrown away to the wall, and Nazan bleeds."

"Hey, what was that for? You're going to get me in trouble," Nazan says.

Nazan gets punched against the wall again. "Are you destroying this house, old man?" Nazan says.

Nazan tries to defend himself by punching but misses his target.

and gets punched back to the ground and can't stand up.

"Are you going to kill me?" Nazan says, looking up at Raiyaji.

"No, and I was just testing you to see if you are strong enough, but you are weak. You can't be a hero by being too weak, and because of my power, your pain is now gone."

"Shut up, you old man," Nazan says and touches his body and doesn't feel the pain anymore. "The pain is really gone, but the walls are broken, and the house is a mess because of you."

Kinato shows up at the door.

"Oh! Raiyaji-san, am I late?"

"Dad, is this really the teacher you were talking about yesterday?" He attacked me because he wanted to test me.

"Raiyaji-san, it's been a while. How was your journey outside the city for 5 years?"

Nazan thought, "Hey, why are you not listening?"

"It's okay, and your son has grown a lot; he's weak, though," Raiyaji says.

"Well, since you've come here, can you help me train my son and help him tame and control the monster inside him?" Kinato says.

Nazan stands up. "How can I tame the beast when he said to me in my dream that I can't tame him even if I'm strong or weak?" Nazan says.

"You guys are ignoring me again, Nazan," he says in his mind.

"Let's go to the field and train," Kinato says and disappears in a flash.

"Let's go, kid," Raiyaji says.

Nazan follows Raiyaji and gets to the field. Nazan warms up while Raiyaji and Kinato are talking. This will be easy; I can do this.

Nazan says

"Kid, summon the pet and let us see how strong it is," Raiyaji says.

"Okay, that's easy, but it will take minutes since I can't control him," Nazan says.

"Lift your shirt; I will make the summoning easy," Raiyaji says and uses his sealing power to make the beast inside of Nazan come out much easier.

Nazan summons the dark shadow after the sealing was complete, and the dark shadow is in his old form like a snake but is floating, has a strong dark armor skin, and has glowing eyes.

Nazan summons it, and a dark shadow blasts a dark ball at Nazan, and Nazan tries to dodge but is too late, and Kinato saves Nazan by using his lightning power.

"Don't fall off guard," Kinato says.

Raiyaji attacks the beast, and the beast spams the dark ball move, and Raiyaji dodges it easily, and Raiyaji punches the beast, and it gets thrown away to the grass. The beast wipes it off and floats higher so he can't be reached.

"Kinato attacks the beast by using long-range lightning attacks, and the beast absorbs the power, and Kinato teleports to the beast and slams it to the ground."

"I thought you could talk?" Kinato says, and Raiyaji uses his sealing power and makes the beast unable to move.

"Shut up and unseal me now," the beast says to Raiyaji.

"So you can actually talk. Why did you not talk earlier? What is your power, and who is your previous owner?" Raiyaji says.

"I didn't know that beasts has a history."

Nazan and Kinato say.

"I will not answer that, and how did you know that I have a history?" Dark Shadows says.

"In my 5 years of journeying outside of this city, I learned so much, and one of those things is that the pet-type powers all have a history and live for thousands of years. Are you a newly made beast or have you lived for a hundred thousand years?" Raiyaji says.

"I lived for thousands of years, and unseal me NOW," Dark Shadows says.

"No, you're going to get unsealed when we finish this training," Kinato says.

"I know that you can use powers, and you can give your owner power of yours. Give him your powers," Raiyaji says.

"Fine, unseal me first," Dark Shadow says.

Raiyaji unseals the dark shadow, and the dark shadow vanishes and gets back into Nazan's body.

In a few seconds, Dark Tentacles suddenly grow behind Nazan's back and are out of control.

"Hey, what is happening?!" Nazan says.

"Control it," Raiyaji says.

"I can't," Nazan says.

"Control it," Raiyaji says.

"I'm trying," Nazan says.

"Just focus, and I'll go take a seat, and you control that," Raiyaji says.

Raiyaji pulls out 2 chairs and gives the other one to Kinato.

Are we just going to let him control this? While we just take a seat here.

"Yeah, yeah, he can do that."

After an hour, Nazan still can't control it, and he tries to control it by focusing, but it doesn't work, and he focuses more.

Raiyaji pulls out a book and reads while sitting and covered by an umbrella.

Kinato fell asleep after watching Nazan trying for an hour.

While in the house, Nazan's mother arrives home with Nazan's sister after buying groceries and sees a mess in the sink full of unwashed plates, and the house is a mess.

"Oh… oh..." Nazan's sister says.

It's now evening, and Nazan focuses on his mind and sees a flash of a guy walking with a sword. Nazan doesn't mind it, and he finally stops the tentacles and is tired."

"Am I going to do this every weekend? This is so hard; I can't do this."

"Raiyaji brings the book done, so you're finally finished with the first step. Good. I'm going to go to my apartment now. Bye."

"What really?" Nazan says and wakes up Kinato.

Kinato wakes up and goes home with Nazan and buys a hamburger with Nazan.

Kinato and Nazan arrive home, and they are surprised by Nazan's mom, and Nazan's mom is smiling at them.

"Oh, hi, Mom," Nazan says.

"What did you do to our HOUSE!!!!" Nazan's mom punches Kinato and Nazan in the face and gets scolded.

Nazan's sister is laughing at Nazan and Kinato in the corner.
