DANTE'S POV
Between Liam and I, we were able to find five men altogether. That makes seven including he and I. It didn't take a lot of motivation to get them to accept to work with us. A million dollars each sounded like a pretty good deal to them. We haven't explained the plan to them yet. All we told them was that we're going to raid a very powerful and illegal organization. We had to be very careful when choosing these men so we followed and spied on them first to make sure they would be reliable. We obviously cannot trust them fully but I guess we'll see.
Liam and I are desperate anyways. We have to ger Adeline back by all means.
"Alright, so is anyone going to tell us what we're getting ourselves into here?" A ginger haired man asks. He has freckles on his face with an innocent look. You would never guess that he was convicted a few years ago for murdering his abusive parents. His father used to molest him and his mother used to watch without lifting a finger. Of course, when he told his story, no one believed him so he got sent to jail at a young age. A few years later, he escaped and went off the radar and he has been a shadow ever since.
He knows how to keep hidden and that's exactly what I'm looking for.
"We're going to rescue someone from a sex trafficking organization." Liam blurts out and the five men in front of widen their eyes and drop their mouths, dumbfounded at the news.
"What!?" One of the men exclaims. "Like real life human trafficking type of shit?"
"So, when do we start?" One of the other men says. He has a darker and more mysterious look to him. He's big and I got to him specifically because of his inhumane strength. He's stronger than all five of us in this room combined and I'm not even exaggerating. With him by our side, I'm certain this mission will be a success.
"You all heard him right. We're breaking into a trafficking organization and we have a top priority. Our goal is to get everyone out of there though and we need your help. We need to hunt this place down and burn it to the ground." I say folding m arms across my chest.
"We're going to explain all the details but I'm not going to sugar coat anything here This is a dangerous mission that is no doubt going to involve a lot of blood. You're going to have to shoot guns…"
"Well, I have no problem with that." Another man says. A black man this time. He's a sniper and he never misses his target. He likes to call himself headshot because he always shoots his victims straight in the head, and he never aims twice. He's just that good.
"And once we start with this mission, it's till the end. No one can back out so if you're having second thoughts…" I turn my body to the side and nod my head at the door. "…there's the door."
They all look at each other awkwardly, as if waiting for one person to leave first so the other can follow suit. Two minutes and then one more of silence and everyone is still in the room. I let out a small and unnoticeable breath of relief. I need everyone in here and this mission would be a lot more difficult with just Liam and I. It would be impossible.
"Okay. Okay good. Everyone's still here so it's either you all re extremely bored or need the money badly." Liam says.
"Oh, I don't need a reason to shoot a bullet through a sex traffickers head. Those fuckers are disgusting and if I get to kill them, then I count it as privilege. Also yeah, I need the money. So, who are we killing?" Headshot says and I fight back a smirk.
"Great." I say and with the remote control in my hands, I press down on the power button and turn on the TV screen. It has a picture of Adeline on it.
"That is our top priority." I say.
"She's pretty." The ginger haired man says. "I can't imagine the hell she must be going through."
I stare at her picture for a while longer and feel my heart twist in my chest in the most painful way possible. Every time my mind reminds me of where Adeline is, I can't help but fall apart and hate myself even more. When I look back to how we were, I can't believe I was so blind to not see how awfully wrong things could go.
I want her back. I need her back because I don't know for how much longer I can go on without her. I don't know for how much longer she'll be able to survive in that place.
I shake my head and switch the picture on the screen so that a picture of Adrian comes up.
"That is Adrian Wellington." I say with bitterness in my tone. "He's a top investor in the organization we're tracking down and he's the reason Adeline got taken away. We have him captured in on of the rooms here and our goal is to interrogate him so he can get us in contact with the organization." I explain.
"We'll torture him in any way we can as long as he gives us the information we need. I hope you all can stomach it." Liam adds. It's strange to see how he went from not wanting anything to do with the organization to him barking ou orders.
I guess being desperate plays a number on you.
"You can count on me to make that fucker pay." One of the men says.
"Me too." The other men say in unison.
It's not time for Adrian Wellington to die yet. I still need him for a lot of purposes and killing him right now will not be smart. Although when his time comes, he will beg for mercy and I will not come. He will beg for death and it will not come.
I will savor every scream of his. I will savor every cry of pain he will let out until I completely drain out his soul from his body. I will make him pay for all his deeds so much that he will regret the day he came across me. I will make him suffer like never before.
When Adrian's time come, it will be glorious.
