MEETING

DANTE'S POV

Today is the day Adrian meets Veronica. Today is the day I've been dreading. The day I get one step closer to finding Adeline. If we capture Veronica, then everything will fall into place. We'll be able to get Adeline and Naomi out. We'll have a chance at saving all those girls if we have someone as powerful as Veronica in our grasp.

"Are we ready boys?" I ask all the men standing in the room with me. Kent is not here right now because he and his men have surrounded the place where Veronica and Adrian are supposed to meet. We already have a head start but that doesn't mean we're going to win this. For this to be successful, we have to be coordinated and follow through with the plan down to the letter. Everyone nods at me, including Adrian.

He doesn't look bruised up anymore since I decided to stop torturing him. He had to look presentable for this meeting. He looks just like he did the first time I saw him, only difference is that he has lost a bit of weight but he looks presentable. He looks like the spoiled brat I know him to be. He looks like the rich entitled fucker that I was introduced to when I first got to know the kind of person he was.

I regret not killing him then. Everything would have been so much easier for me if I had just kidnapped him and tortured the truth out of him. None of this would have gotten this far and Adeline would still be with me right now, oblivious to the disgusting world she hs been forcefully introduced to. As I stare at him, he looks at everything but me because he knows I have a deadly look in my eyes. If he does absolutely anything to ruin our plans today, I'm actually going to lose my mind and start shooting everything.

I walk over to him and grab the collar of his shirt.

"Headshot will have his eyes on you the entire time so I swear to fucking God if you fumble this, he will put a bullet straight to your head and you'll die just like you should have a long time ago, you got it?" Adrian nods his head quickly as I look down on him, fear in his eyes but I can also see a hint of hope.

Maybe he thinks that he'll be able to get away just because he's meeting with Veronica but I can easily kill him and put an end to his miserable life if I want to and I hope he knows that.

"I know what I have to do, okay?" He says.

"Oh, I sure hope you do." I say to him as I shove him aggressively until his back hits the wall. There's tension in the room right now because we all want to kill Adrian. All of us here want him dead and God, what I would give to torture him to death right now. He has no idea the amount of restraint that Liana and I have to muster up right now having the knowledge that he is the reason Adeline is where she is.

He has no idea how calm we have to make ourselves, he has no idea that there is a constant voice in our heads just begging us to kill him. He has no fucking idea how hard it is to stand in this room and look at him. At his stupid face. As the thoughts rush through my head, I get so angry that I pull out my gun and point it straight at his head. He stumbles backwards, his back to the wall as he stares at me with wide eyes.

"Whoa Dante." Liam says. "We need him alive."

"I know." I say as I ready the gun, placing my hand on the trigger. "You ruined her life, you know that?" I start talking as I point the gun to his head.

"You fucking runed her life!! What did she ever do to you huh? She didn't fucking deserve that and you know it! God! I want to kill you so bad right now. I just want to shoot you over and over again until you're barely recognizable as a human being. I want you to pay for what you've done. I want you gone!" I scream in his face as I feel the hurt in my heat forcing its way out through my eyes.

"Dante. We need him for the meeting." Liam tries to reason with me. I know he wants Adrian dead too, but we do need him. Without Adrian, there is no meeting with Veronica.

"I fucking know!" I scream at the top of my lungs and pull the trigger, aiming for the ceiling instead of the pathetic man in front of me. The room is quiet with tension as everyone stares at me wide-eyed.

"Let's go." I say and grab my bag which contains all I would need to kill someone today. I'm trusting Kent to keep his word and that he has all his men ready at the desired spots by now.

Headshot will head over to the site before us in a different car because he's our sniper and he needs to have eyes on Veronica and Adrian all the time.

Liam and I will be waiting close by while Kent and his men will be waiting somewhere else, and Shadow and the other guys will be at different positions. Kent says it's better if we do not reveal ourselves to his FBI team and I think he's right. They'll only think Kent is working with criminals and it could blow this entire thing.

We all leave the house and head over to our respective positions. Adrian arrives at the place before Veronica and takes his seat where Veronica asked him to. It's started.

Everything we have all been working for boils down to this day. Whatever happens today will determine the entire course of our mission in saving the people we love. Everything has to go right. Everything has to go to plan. We put a mic on Adrian so that everything Veronica says to him, we'll be able to hear too.

After a few minutes of waiting, she finally shows up. She looks just like the demon I imagined her to be.

"Are you seeing this headshot?" I ask.

"Positive boss." Headshot answers from his position. I know Kent is also somewhere waiting for my signal and I know he doesn't want to leave this place today without getting at least one prisoner. Everyone is counting on me so I need to make smart decisions.

"This was a bad idea." Liam suddenly says from beside me.

"Not now Liam." I say and he shuts up, shaking his head as he leans forwards and places his hands on his knees in contemplation. I'm about to say something to him when Liam's conversation with Veronica starts.

"You look sick." She says in a calm tone.

"Well, being in hiding is not exactly the best way of living." Adrian answers. "How's Adeline?" Adrian asks her.

"Oh my little doll is patient and well ready for auction day. I even have a buyer for her already. His name is Arthur." She says with a smirk. I access the camera in the spot Veronica and Adrian are in so I can also see their movements. Adrian has a surprised look on his face.

"Arthur is interested in buying Adeline? How did you even convince him?" Adrian asks. I want to know who this person is that they're talking about. This sick fucker who wants to buy my Adeline.

"Oh that's not important right now. All you need to know is the girl will bring us a lot of cash and of course, you'll get your part since you're the one who gave her to us." Veronica says. There's s much tension that I am feeling right now. I feel like I'm losing my mind.

"Let's get to more important subjects, shall we?" Veronica says leaning forwards on the table. "Where the fuck have you been this entire time?" She asks.

"I told you. I've been in hiding…" Adrian answers jus like we told him to.

"Do you really have such little trust in me Adrian?" Veronica asks him with a laugh, a diabolical look on her face.

"What do you mean?" Adrian questions.

"I know where you've been Adrian. I mean do you think I'm stupid. I'm just surprised that they scared you this much. That you would lie to my face." My heart drops to my stomach at Veronica's words.

"She's on to us." I say into my mic so that all the other men can hear me, even Kent.

"I know Adeline's boyfriend, that Dante guy has been keeping you all this time. I know this meeting was his idea and I know he's listening in on us right now. I didn't come here to just meet with you Adrian. I came here save you and Dante will do nothing to stop us because if he tries anything stupid, all I have to do is snap my fingers and sweet little Naomi will be dead." Veronica smiles.

"Shit!" I say.

"Get up and follow me." Veronica says to Adrian. "We're getting out of here. I'm afraid I still need your services Adrian." Veronica orders.

"What do I do boss?" Headshot asks me. "I have eyes on them. I could easily kill them both right now." He says and I know he can but at what cost. Veronica has Naomi. We don't know how far she's willing to do.

"She might be lying." Kent suddenly says from his position. "She knew we were listening in on her. She's trying to confuse us…"

"They're leaving boss." Headshot says from his position.

"Naomi might very well be dead already." Kent continues. I look over to where Liam is sitting and he looks frozen. He looks so shaken up that he can't even react.

I don't know what to do. If I make one wrong move, Naomi is dead. She'll be gone, but we worked so hard for this.

"If we manage to get Veronica alive, they won't kill Naomi. We'll have her as a hostage." I say.

"No offense but what makes you think Veronica is that important to erotica boss? They'll just replace her and kill Naomi anyways. Are you sure you want to do this?" Shadow asks.

"We can't let them get away." I say, readying my gun. "As soon as they walk out, we attack." I look over to Liam, to see if he's okay. All he does is nod his head at me and readies his gun. This is hard for him, I know but he has to be strong right now. It's the only way we'll get things done.
