DANTE'S POV
"We need to go get Colton's sister." I say as I pace back and forth, getting all my weapons ready. The sooner we deal with this, the better. If we have Colton's sister then he'll be able to leave Veronica's side and come to us with all the information we will need in order to break down the place.
We already know the date of eh auction and if we have Colton by our side then we will be at an advantage because he knows exactly how that place works. Maybe not from the inside out but he has the necessary information that we would need about erotica. We've already failed at so many things that we have been trying to do and Colton joining us is going to be a lot of help.
"Do we have all the necessary information about the location Colton sent us?" Liam asks as he gears up. It's still pretty obvious that he is anything but okay but he's handling everything better and putting all his energy into what we're doing.
"Yeah. I got everything we need. We just have to go there and grab the girl." I say with confidence, however given the fact that Veronica is somehow always one step ahead, she might have found out what Colton is up to so I'm really not sure that we're going to find the girl.
"Then let's get going. I don't want to waste any more time. I want to finish this once and for all." Kent says with a sinister look on his face. After what happened, when we lost Veronica and Adrian, he has been more than pissed. He lost a lot of men that day and he has been holding a huge grudge on both Veronica and Adrian. Veronica's bomb killed a lot of FBI agents and it was all over the news.
Kent hasn't fully revealed to the public what the hell is going on but now everyone knows that the FBI is involved in something big right now. Kent came out of the entire thing unscathed which is kind of a miracle. I guess he didn't realize exactly how hard this would be. Even after all the commotion Veronica caused, she still seems to be so out of reach. Untouchable.
"I hope you know you can't let your emotions control you. We need to be careful. She has already bested us so many times and if we're not careful, we might die today. Colton will be waiting for our message so we better hurry. Everything we're doing depends on time and we cannot fuck this up." I say and Kent paces back and forth in the room as his nostrils flare in anger.
We leave the house in a hurry and drive to the location where Colton said his sister would be. It seems like a normal place but if Colton is right then the entire place should be guarded. It sickens me how far Veronica is willing to go to keep Colton in her grasp. She never does anything halfway. She makes sure that she goes all the way with every single thing that she does and that might be what makes her so powerful.
"So, we're going in blind?" Kent asks. "Not even a picture?" He scoffs as he looks around and from me to him, frowning at the disguise outfits that we all have on.
"Colton gave us a description and a room number. All we have to do is get into that building without being suspected. We have to remember that we're being watched all the time and Veronica is a careful woman so her guards must be too." I say as I ready my guns and make sure my disguise is in check.
I know if this works out okay, Veronica will definitely know that Colton and I are behind it but that doesn't mean every single person has to see my face and know my identity. I've managed to make myself a ghost all these years but all it takes it one picture and everything could go downhill really fast.
"I'm just tired of losing to that bitch. I don't even want to lock her up, I just want her dead at this point. Her and everyone involved in that organization. I need them all gone. People like that, being locked up doesn't stop them from doing horrible things. People like that have the ability to still cause havoc and pain from a locked-up cell." Kent says with hatred in his eyes.
We're all scared of losing to Veronica. We're all damn tired but the last thing any of us will do is lose hope. I promised Colton I would do anything to get his sister out of whatever shackle Veronica has her in so he can finally leave that place. I'm not only doing this because I want to get Adeline back.
I also genuinely want to help this girl because she is too young for all this and no one deserves to have their live be decided by the sick mind of Veronica. All my life has led to this moment, to saving all the girls that will inevitably have their lives ruined by Veronica if she isn't stopped.
"Let's go in now." Liam says with angry look on his face. "I can't wait any longer." He mutters. We all get out of the car, Liam, Kent and I, acting cool with our disguises on as we get in to the building. We stay alert and ready our guns in case we're going in for a surprise.
"Something's wrong." Liam says as we get to the door that Colton indicated us to. "It's quiet. Too quiet. I have a bad feeling Dante."
Laim says and he's right. We're clearly on unwanted territory right now and if there are people constantly watching this girl to make sure Colton doesn't try and get her out of here, then there should be people on our backs right now trying to stop us from getting in.
There should have been gunshots by now. There should have been people trying to stop us.
"I swear to God, I'm going to lose my mind if it happens to be that we have reached another dead end." Kent says with a deep voice and after a few seconds of overthinking and brainstorming, I finally decide to kick the door down and what I see before me is enough to send me off a cliff of exasperation.
"What the fuck!?" Liam exclaims as we all walk into the room.
"Oh my God…" Kent says as he slowly walks inside. I look at the bodies of two girls hung to the wall, naked with blood covering every single part of their bodies, a message written in red on the wall, which I am very sure was written in blood.
"Always one step ahead." It reads. I try to hold the anger I feel inside of me. I ty to inhale and exhale normally as I view the insanity in front of me. The girls don't look like the description Colton sent me so I have reason to believe that Veronica didn't actually kill the girl.
"This is crazy. This is so crazy man. We need to stop this psychotic bitch as soon as possible. I can't take this anymore Dante. What if she does the same thing to Naomi? To Adeline?" Liam paces back and forth in the room and I twist my face in thought as I hear a beeping sound in the room.
Kent takes pictures of the scene and tries to gather evidence like the detective he is but my better instincts tell me that if we don't get out of this place soon, then we're all going to be toast.
"We need to get out of here." I say impatiently as I start pushing Liam and Kent out of the room.
"What are you doing? This is a crime scene. I need the any evidence that could help us right now!" Kent argues as I continue shoving the and Liam out of the door.
"This place is about to blow up and if you both do not want to look like fried chicken in the next second, then you'll fucking move!" I raise my voice and both their eyes widen.
We're barely out of the building before the entire building blows up, the force and pressure from the explosion pushing us forwards to the ground and to our faces. I feel a slight burn on my back and I know it'll definitely leave a bruise.
'"Fuck. FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! WHAT THE FUCK!?" Kent curses as we rush towards our car and drive away before we cause more chaos. I drive with anger in my heart. My head is pounding with all the ways I want to make Veronica suffer. I need to make her suffer.
"She probably knows we'll be there on auction day. She could have killed us today but she didn't. She knows we're coming for her and she's underestimating us. She's fucking stupid. Does she not know the FBI is involved now?" I say in anger as I drive away.
"She's wrong for underestimating us. I'm going to go to that place with the entirety of the FBI force if I have to, but on that day, we'll be ready. More ready than she expects us to be and we'll fucking kill them all. We'll save everyone. We'll get Adeline and Naomi and all those other girls back. She doesn't get to win." Kent says.
"And she won't." I smirk as I feel a new found motivation take over me. I don't care what I have to do. I don't care if I fucking die. But erotica is falling on auction day and there is nothing that even Veronica can do about it.
