INT. BEN'S OFFICE – MORNING – DECEMBER 31

BEN, late 30s, sharply dressed, sits behind a sleek desk, rubbing his temples. Despite being the PRESIDENT of the company, a sense of fatigue hangs on him.

BEN

(sighs)

These days... I don't feel like working much. But I have to — for the family. No one's pressuring me, yet here I am, still grinding.

(half-smiles)

Even as president, I work from the heart. 😉

(A knock. The door opens slightly.)

EREN (O.S.)

May I come in, sir?

BEN

Come in, Eren.

EREN, the company's casual and underperforming MANAGER, walks in awkwardly.

EREN

Good morning, sir. You're looking fresh and active today. Is something special going on?

Tomorrow's New Year... and from my side of the company, I can tell — you're under a lot of pressure. If you want, then—

BEN

(cutting him off, stern)

Eren, today's meeting is locked. Prepare the project details — quickly.

This deal has to close today, no matter what. Focus on your work.

EREN

(awkwardly nods, backs off)

🫤 Okay sir...

(Eren exits. Ben immediately picks up the phone and calls HR.)

BEN

(into phone)

Brooke, come to my office.

(Moments later, a knock.)

BROOKE (O.S.)

May I come in, sir?

BEN

Come in, Brooke.

BROOKE, efficient and sharp, walks in with a notepad.

BROOKE

Good morning, sir. You called me — what's needed?

BEN

Brooke, it's getting harder to keep up. The constant calls, messages, emails…

And no secretary to join me in meetings — it's exhausting.

BROOKE

(nods)

I understand, sir. You need a secretary.

Do you think Eren could manage?

BEN

(scoffs)

Eren? No chance. He can't even handle his own job — how will he handle me?

BROOKE

(sincerely)

I'm sorry, sir. But nowadays… no one wants the secretary post.

Everyone finds it too demanding. It won't be easy to find someone.

BEN

(sighs, calm but firm)

Take your time, but find someone.

Tomorrow's New Year — I want a good employee joining this company. A fresh start.

BROOKE

(resolute)

Okay, sir. I'll definitely try.

She exits, leaving Ben deep in thought as he stares out of the window into the busy skyline.
