Days had passed, Kurowa sharpened her senses, she honed her entire body to handle her magic. Now with the help of the Rune enhancement, it was quicker than she had expected.
Kurowa couldn't believe what she was seeing right now. Her growth was just plain absurd, she was strong already and enough to handle a Category 3 Void, she could cast a powerful barrier to block a Category 6, but that would only last for 10 seconds.
Right now, her growth is fast but she still needs to be careful. While Kurowa is preparing for tomorrow. "Now I just realized, I completely forgot her name, I can't even remember anything." She said, as the thugs she was fighting were completely erased from her memories.
"I see a psychological trauma. No wonder I can't remember their names, but I do not care anymore." She muttered, as she was currently inside Arliette's home.
Arliette on the other hand was nowhere to be seen. However he left a note saying he was about to do his part time job as a cashier.
"I could never understand him, a Cashier?" She was baffled, but at the same time it wasn't that far off from his personality.
Arliette is completely weird on this world's standard, applying normal common sense is thrown out. Since, he himself is a other worlder, so him being completely opposite of everyone is now a given.
However, what's interesting is that he always tries to leave some little mana around them as if he was luring something. But Kurowa couldn't understand it, or even know that he was playing a Hide and seek game with the Headmaster of the Acadia.
Kurowa just shook her head to clear up her mind, and this time she sat down on the floor with her legs crossed together, and she began to meditate.
She was meditating to precisely pinpoint the location of her Mana that is inside her. To make her stronger, she needed a clear and pure passage of each blood inside her. Especially her heart, especially the 4 passages that are in her heart.
She took a deep breath, and felt the circulation of her Mana. She began to spread them, and made them flow like rivers. It was smooth, and not a single blockage, now inside the building was a pure air where everything is clean, this made her breathing much more purer. She was completely relaxed, there's not a single tension around her body.
She began to make her body expand, bit by bit her physical appearance slowly changed. Her height had increased, her muscles slowly grown larger, and more healthier.
There is one thing that she needed to do, to be able to face a Category 9, and to become the strongest. No matter what role she would get, she would utilize them further. Her main speciality was close range, now she would gladly aim to become stronger and become the master of all. Long or short range magic, she would master them.
"I'm ready." She uttered as she opened her eyes.
…
Arliette is currently on his front desk, while the old people are happily buying at the store. They were all kind and friendly towards him, despite all of them being elderly and sometimes children.
It was a nice and quiet life that he had never experienced. 'Hmmm… I could feel a sudden change from her, the Kiss of Unity isn't just a pact, it was a soul bond together. I could feel her change already, but she couldn't see mine because I'm completely in a different league which bypasses the Kiss of Unity.' While he sat down in the chair, and waiting for customers to show up.
But something unexpected occurred, he felt the power of an Archmage, it was Scylla Morningstar the Headmaster of the Acadia.
'Did I get discovered? No, I shouldn't be. Well let's just see how it goes, perhaps she's just passing by.' He uttered, as he pushed his glasses back. His golden eyes shone, and saw Scylla in the air above the store.
She descended from the air, and directly landed in front of the store. She smiled, as she gracefully walked inside, each step made an echo, a silent step. Only a powerful mage could hear the echoes from her steps, if not they would only hear silence.
Scylla began to search each item from the shelves, and she saw what she wanted.
It was an old traditional cigar, she happily grabbed them. "Here you go handsome." She said with a firm voice.
Arliette's body shivered. 'Uh oh… I am good with theory, but I never said I was a genius and I could still make a mistake, right?'
"Say, you have beautiful golden eyes. It reminds me of someone."
"T-Thank you M-Miss…" I stuttered, I acted like it was natural.
"Say, what's your name?" Scylla said, as she gazed deep within his eyes. He didn't waver, as Scylla continued to smile.
"My name is Prometheus."
"Prometheus? What a nice name. Now do you still accept cards?" She asks.
"Yes we do ma'am!" Arliette answered.
She presented her card, while Arliette swiped the card into the machine and purchased the cigar that she bought.
"Please come again, and thank you." He added, as he acted like a normal cashier.
Scylla just nodded, and quietly left the store.
Scylla on the other hand, couldn't believe such a man like him is working as a cashier.
'Shame, he was quite handsome. I should perhaps ask for his number or something, perhaps I could even see him again. Because, with those eyes of his, I saw something fun.' She smiled, as she lit up her cigar.
"It tastes quite nice for an old cigar." She added, as she flew back to Acadia.
…
'I was indeed right, she was just passing by.' He added, while he nodded along and continued the day until the night as his shift had finally ended.
"Well that was close, Scylla Morningstar. Quite a beauty for a woman at her age, oh well because the cat and mouse game is still ongoing." He added, as he finally walked back to his home.
"Right, tomorrow is the day where Kurowa will duel those thugs… I wonder what their name is. I have been calling them thugs since the beginning."
"Eh, it's probably not worth looking into. They're not even related to my goals anyway." He smiled, as the night sky bloomed.
"The Moon is beautiful, unlike my world." ಠಗಠ
While the night sky was covered in jewels, the jewels or what he called the stars.
It was indeed a treasure.
…
The night has passed, as the Sun rises from the other side lighting up the entire world.
Finally, it was the duel.
Kurowa entered the arena, while the thug leader followed. She wore a complete knight armor, while Kurowa on the other hand wore the Uniform that Arliette made.
"This is just the beginning of my revenge." Kurowa smiled, as she finally entered the arena.
