Chapter 8 Physical Fitness

Strong Body!

This was the talent Levis obtained from the golden light cluster.

Although the name wasn't particularly striking, the information Levis received in his mind made him realize that this talent was not simple.

According to the description, every time Levisleveled up, he could immediately activate the effect of Strong Body, maximizing the potential of each level-up and doubling the effect of physical fitness improvement.

What concerned Levis the most was the latter effect: for every five times Strong Body was activated, Levis would gain an additional Growth Talent.

In short, the faster Levis leveled up and the more times he leveled up, the more additional Growth Talents he would acquire.

As for the effect of the talent, just look at this one now.

"Is this a golden talent?!" Levis secretly swallowed his saliva and exclaimed, "It's terrifying!"

Levis glanced at the character panel on the flyleaf of his notebook.

Level: 2

Growth Value: 130 / 225

Ability Points: 1

Talents: Strong Body (1)

Skills: None

Looking at the growth value which only increased by 20 points, Levis sighed with regret.

If he could get two more 50s, he could experience the effect of Strong Body right now!

The night deepened.

Levis walked out of the study and looked towards Danny's side, hearing distinct, regular breathing, steady and soft, indicating that Danny was already asleep.

Levis felt relieved, picked up his small black bag, and went out again.

It was time to make some money again.

Although it was late, there were still many lights in Manhattan, signifying the uniqueness of this place.

Levis skillfully ascended, and after confirming it was safe, he flew directly towards his destination.

Above Hell's Kitchen, similar crimes were almost enacted every night; most of them Levis would just glance at and fly past.

Levis's principle was simple: helping or not depended purely on his mood. If he wanted to help, he would; if not, he would just ignore it.

Hell's Kitchen never lacked pitiful people waiting for help.

Levis first patrolled last night's business area, which seemed much quieter.

Apparently, Mad Dog Mackie was severely weakened by Levis, and his subordinates didn't dare to cause trouble anymore.

Levis expressed regret about this, perhaps he would have to wait a few more days before he could continue making money in this area.

After flying a few more circles in the sky, Levisrandomly chose a spot to land.

Then it was the familiar plot, the familiar recipe.

Finally, Levis, while stuffing money into his pocket, said to the guys cowering on the ground with their hands over their heads, "Don't forget to take those two guys on the ground with you later."

Um, Levis was referring to the two guys impaled to the ground, unconscious.

Tonight, this group of people was clearly more agitated than the two guys last night, so an extra one was nailed to the ground.

But for Levis, one or two were all the same, no difference, not important, not important.

"Tonight's earnings aren't great!" Calculating his recent income, Levis looked at this group of guys and pondered, "Could it be that I need to pull off a big one again tonight?"

The previous earnings were only a few hundred dollars. After all, how much money could a group of guys wandering the streets have?

The truly wealthy, even among these scumbags, would be those who worked in offices or hid in houses. This was the same as the so-called Worldof light; those who did big business emphasized respectability.

And these respectable people were generally called large criminal organizations.

Levis currently didn't really want to go against large criminal organizations, not because he was afraid of their numbers, but mainly because these guys were different from street thugs; they usually played with guns, and Levis wasn't confident enough not to be afraid of getting shot.

While thinking, Levis continued to patrol in the dark, this time he was going to pick one with greater potential.

"Huh?" As he flew, Levis arrived over a pier, and below, two groups of people were acting suspiciously.

Levis descended, observing secretly from the air.

Many containers were stored on the pier, and among these containers, a nimble figure was stealthily moving around.

On the other side, two men brought several shouting women out of a car and escorted them towards the pier's edge.

Then they communicated something with a contact person. Levis didn't pay attention; he only saw that the nimble Mysterious Man had already approached that group of people. Clearly, Mysterious Man's target was them.

Levis didn't know what Mysterious Man wanted to do, but it didn't prevent him from watching a good show from the sky.

He didn't know what the people below said, only that the contact person took out something resembling an electric baton, directly electrocuted one of the women, and then pushed all the women into a container.

At this moment, Mysterious Man made his move.

Leaping down from the container behind the contact person, the contact person was instantly knocked down.

Immediately after, Mysterious Man quickly and effortlessly knocked down the contact person's two accomplices.

"This guy is good, his skills are comparable to Danny's!" Levis watched with relish. He didn't expect to casually encounter a Mysterious Manwith such skills.

However, Levis suddenly noticed the contact person who was first knocked down taking out a pistol from his Back, silver-white, shining brightly in the dim light.

Mysterious Man also seemed to sense something was wrong, directly rolling on the ground, narrowly dodging a shot.

The contact person fired continuously, the Bang Bang Bang of gunshots forcing Mysterious Man to dodge constantly, barely escaping danger.

The women in the container were also so scared by the gunshots that they dared not scream. The contact person crawled up from the ground and cautiously walked towards the container where Mysterious Man was hiding.

"Hey, look here!"

The sudden sound startled everyone below, even Mysterious Man hiding in the shadow of the container.

The contact person turned around in a panic, and before he could even point his gun at someone, he saw a large bright light rushing towards him.

With a series of crackling explosions, the contact person was nailed to the ground, his chest a bloody mess, clearly dead.

The contact person's tragic state scared the women in the container into screaming again, their voices even louder than before, indicating that they were truly terrified.

However, the next second, the women's screams abruptly stopped.

Levis had landed.

The pair of pure White wings on his back were so dazzling and so sacred in the dim light.

The women were all stunned!

Oh God! It's an Angel!

At this moment, these suffering women completely forgot that they were still in danger, and one by one, they just reverently made the sign of the cross on their chests.

Even the last guy sitting on a small chair, keeping watch by the shore, was dumbfounded and at a loss.

Levis stood with his back to the women, listening to their constant prayers, and didn't explain. This state was much better than listening to them scream.

"Friend, you can come out now!" Levis shouted towards Mysterious Man's hiding spot.

Mysterious Man heard Levis's shout but didn't move. He couldn't be sure if Levis was a friend or foe, so it was best not to move.

"No need to hide, friend, I know where you are." Levis casually stated Mysterious Man's hiding spot and continued, "Now I'm a little disappointed. Is this how you treat a good person who just saved your life?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Mysterious Manwalked out from behind the container.

"Who are you?" Mysterious Man asked, "Why did you help me!"

Only then did Levis see that Mysterious Man was blindfolded.

Wait, blindfolded?

Levis seemed to recall someone, then looked at Mysterious Man again and asked, "Aren't you going to introduce yourself first?"

Mysterious Man was silent for a moment before replying, "You can call me Dare Devil!"
