Chapter 21: The First Fang That Cuts the Sky

The sky above the Black Snow Valley churned and darkened, as if responding to something rising from ancient darkness. Below, at the entrance of the demonic temple ruins, Jin Seo-Won stood tall—the Demon Sword Yasha now strapped across his back.

His crimson eyes scanned the treeline that surrounded the valley.

> "You can come out now," he said coldly.

Silence.

But seconds later, shadows stirred. One by one, seven cloaked figures emerged from the mist, each radiating a distinct presence.

> "You moved faster than we expected, Fourth Prince," said one of them.

"We came to observe. And yet… you've already claimed the weapon."

Seo-Won didn't reply.

> "We are from the Seven Clans. And what you've taken here… will change everything."

An elderly man from the Wind Clan stepped forward. His silver-white hair danced in the breeze, and each step he took seemed to stir the air around him unnaturally.

> "With that weapon, you are no longer a discarded prince.

You have become… a threat."

Seo-Won narrowed his eyes.

> "A threat? Only if you're afraid."

> "We do not fear," replied the elder of the Sword Clan, stepping beside the Wind Clan's representative.

"But we will begin watching you."

---

After a tense moment, the elders turned and vanished into the mist, leaving Seo-Won alone in the valley.

But he knew—from now on, all eyes would be on him.

---

Later that afternoon, at the outer gates of the Sect Academy, Team 7 returned.

The guarding disciples went quiet at the sight of Jin Seo-Won walking in front, his aura different than before. The demonic sword on his back shimmered faintly under the sun.

Do-Yoon and Soo-Ran followed close behind, both bloodied but upright.

> "You've changed…" Soo-Ran whispered.

Seo-Won glanced at her, his gaze still sharp, but his voice calm.

> "You'll change too. You're following me, aren't you?"

Soo-Ran stared for a moment, then slowly nodded.

> "From today onward… I pledge myself to the Fourth Prince.

No matter where your path leads."

Seo-Won gave a slight smile—cold, but real.

---

That night, word of Team 7's return and the obtained demonic weapon spread through the entire academy.

In a secret meeting hall, the seven clan leaders sat in a circle, discussing a single name:

> Jin Seo-Won.

And high atop the tallest tower of the sect, the Sect Leader stood watching the sky.

Behind him, Guardian Baek Ho-Gun spoke in a low voice:

> "He has begun to grow his fangs."

The Sect Leader did not respond. But his sharp gaze narrowed, as if seeing something far greater than a simple inherited weapon.

> "Let him grow…"

> "The time will come… to uproot him."
