"Did I disturb your rest?" Kitazawa asked, somewhat embarrassed.
"No, I was just about to have breakfast." Kurenai shook her head and asked again, "Have you eaten? If not, I can make you a bowl of ramen."
"No need." Kitazawa explained, "I always eat breakfast at Ichiraku Ramen."
"I forgot that Ichiraku Ramen is next door to your house. That's really convenient." Kurenai smiled and said, "Then please wait for me a few minutes."
She turned around and stepped barefoot on the carpet, twisting her waist and hips as she walked toward the living room.
"I don't have much to drink at home." Kurenai poured a glass of water and said, "You'll have to make do with this."
"Thank you." Kitazawa took the water and replied.
Kurenai sat at the dining table and began eating breakfast with her chopsticks.
"Sorry for making you wait. Let's go now." After finishing her meal, Kurenai changed into her classic outfit.
White clothing, a red right sleeve, bandages wrapped around her thigh—revealing snow-white, slender legs. She walked to the entrance and paused.
She bent down, supported herself against the wall, and lifted her delicate foot slightly, her toned calf curving gracefully. She slid her toes into her short boots, one by one.
After putting them on, she stepped on the spot twice, her leg flesh trembling ever so slightly.
"What are you looking at?" Kurenai noticed Kitazawa's gaze as she finished and asked with a smile.
"Appreciating the scenery." Kitazawa blinked and replied.
"What scenery is there here?" Kurenai locked the door and walked ahead, a soft fragrance wafting from her.
"Where there's beauty, there's scenery," Kitazawa answered seriously.
Kurenai rolled her eyes at him. This was the first time she had heard someone describe peeking in such a poetic and refined way.
"Since you praised me, I'll let it go." Kurenai changed the topic and asked, "Are you sure you can convince Yakumo's parents?"
"No." Kitazawa shook his head and said, "I don't even know her parents. How can I be sure?"
"Her father is Kurama Murakumo, and her mother is Uroko. Although both are Jonin, they don't possess any bloodline limits." Kurenai explained as they walked, "To be more precise, Yakumo is the only one in the Kurama clan to have awakened a bloodline limit."
"She's the only hope of her entire clan?" Kitazawa asked thoughtfully.
"Yes." Kurenai nodded. "I think Yakumo's obsession with becoming a ninja comes from the expectations of the Kurama clan."
"She's a good child," Kitazawa commented.
Unfortunately, her fate in the original timeline was filled with hardship. Out of rage, she released the Yin Release monster, Ido, and ended up killing her parents.
If not for Uzumaki Naruto's help, even Kurenai wouldn't have survived.
"This is where Yakumo trains. It's called Satomi-gaoka Villa." Kurenai stopped in front of a large courtyard.
Kitazawa looked around and silently thought, They're loaded.
"Let's go see Yakumo first." Kurenai considered for a moment and said, "She should be painting on the hillside behind the villa right now."
"Yeah." Kitazawa knew that Kurama Yakumo's painting was the expression of her bloodline limit.
Simply put, she could turn whatever she painted into reality. For example—
If she painted lightning striking the Hokage Building, it would actually happen.
Guided by Kurenai, Kitazawa soon saw Kurama Yakumo. She sat in front of a drawing board, holding a brush, focused intently on sketching the scenery before her.
"I'll go talk to her," Kitazawa said, then walked forward.
Kurenai nodded and waited nearby.
"Why is it raining in the painting?" Kitazawa asked after watching for a few seconds. It was a clear day, yet Yakumo's painting depicted clouds and rain.
A line popped into Kitazawa's head: Please analyze the role of the weather here.
"Who are you?" Kurama Yakumo turned her head and asked.
"I'm Kitazawa, a teacher at the Ninja Academy," Kitazawa replied.
"Did my parents agree to let me attend Ninja School?" Yakumo immediately set down her brush, eyes wide with surprise.
"Do you really want to go to school?" Kitazawa didn't answer directly.
"Yeah." Kurama Yakumo nodded. "I want to be a ninja."
"If you want to, then go for it," Kitazawa said softly.
"My body is weak. Even light training leaves me breathless—let alone fighting like a real ninja." Yakumo's expression dimmed.
"Who told you that to be a ninja, you must have a body stronger than most people?" Kitazawa asked.
"Huh?" Yakumo blinked, puzzled. "Are there ninjas with poor health?"
In her mind, even medical ninjas could fight with kunai in critical moments. Weaklings couldn't be ninjas.
"There aren't any. But you could be the first." Kitazawa said calmly. "A certain ninja once said, 'There was no road on the ground. But as people walked, a path was formed.'"
"Can I really do that?" Yakumo's tone was filled with uncertainty.
"Do you want to give up just because it's hard?" Kitazawa smiled.
"No!" Kurama Yakumo gritted her teeth and declared, "I will become a ninja!"
"Good, that's the spirit." Kitazawa nodded. "You can't become an ordinary genjutsu user, but you can become a special genjutsu ninja."
"Special?" Yakumo looked confused.
"Ordinary illusion users target the five senses—sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch." Kitazawa explained, "That's why genjutsu users still need good physical condition. Their fights can get very intense."
Yakumo remained silent. That was the reason she couldn't be an ordinary ninja. But soon, her eyes lit up with curiosity.
"In fact, there's another kind of illusion—one that targets the mind directly." Kitazawa met her gaze.
"...?" Yakumo hesitated. Kurenai had taught her genjutsu before, so she had some knowledge of it.
But she'd never heard of illusions that bypassed the senses and attacked the mind directly. Even Kurenai frowned slightly.
After all, even the goal of sensory-based illusions was to influence the mind. Illusions without sensory mediums had never existed.
"Others can't do it—but you can, because your spirit is strong enough." Kitazawa read her thoughts and explained.
Kurenai was stunned and suddenly understood. Yin Release represents spiritual power. Yakumo's mental strength was so potent, she created a monster—Ido—out of thin air.
That meant she could weaponize her spiritual power to attack others directly.
She hadn't considered this possibility because she was still thinking like a traditional ninja.
"Me?" Kurama Yakumo looked astonished.
"Not only that—you can also become the first psychology medical ninja, able to treat others' mental trauma," Kitazawa said with a faint smile and thought of Tsunade's Hemophobia.
If Yakumo could cure it, it would be a great achievement.
And for him, a convenient opportunity to earn high-level ninjutsu as a reward—concealing the ones he gained from the system.
"Psychology medical ninja?" Yakumo muttered to herself.
The resentment she once held for being unable to become a ninja quietly faded away. A new world opened up before her.
Kurenai's lips parted slightly in surprise as she turned to Kitazawa. Though it was the first time she'd heard the term 'psychology medical ninja', it actually made sense.
She had fought in the Third Great Ninja War and knew just how many shinobi carried mental scars afterward. If a ninja like Kurama Yakumo truly existed, she could ease the pain of many.
