Chapter Seventeen – The Forgotten Event
Unknown looked at Ibrahim after hearing his question,
then smiled playfully and said:
— "Adam told me about that. There was a hero in a famous story whose training method was very strange. He trained only one arm and one leg until they were completely exhausted. After a while, he started to get stronger and eventually gained a supernatural body. As a result, he began losing his hair every day until he went completely bald. He's known for his immense strength and the comedic absurdities in the story."
Ibrahim looked at Unknown with surprise:
— "And what does that have to do with what happened to you? And why did the doctor warn you about the so-called deceivers?"
Unknown looked at him and said:
— "I knew you'd say that.
But before I explain, let me ask you something: do you really not know about that famous event?"
— "What event? When did it happen?" Ibrahim asked with confusion.
Unknown looked at him, a frown starting to form on his face.
He thought to himself: Strange... does he really not know? Or is there something else going on?
He didn't care much.
Then he said:
— "It happened ten years ago. A story and a video went viral.
That hero — the one from the comic — suddenly appeared in our world
and spoke strange words."
— "Strange words?" asked Ibrahim,
— "What were those strange words?"
Unknown said:
— "He said: 'Finally, I escaped from -*+#-+$(audio distorted),'
then looked around and said: 'This place somewhat resembles my world.'
Then he muttered incomprehensible things about the merging of world ?$++$(audio distorted) into this forgotten zone,
and said a few lines about when he would regain his strength.
Then he looked directly at the camera filming him and said a sentence, and did something that made everyone — for a long time — imitate him."
"He demonstrated a training move similar to the one in his comic, punching the air, creating a powerful shockwave.
Because of the impact, he destroyed the entire street.
Then he said: 'If you want to become strong like me, train this way to gain a supernatural body.
And remember: do it until your muscles are fully exhausted.'
He then struck a pose that resembled his classic stance,
then suddenly vanished.
Words appeared on the video:
'To all who don't believe, laser this site…'
and a well-known website was shown before the clip ended."
— "People didn't believe it at first,
but photos spread quickly showing the street indeed destroyed, just like in the video.
Then — very quickly — some curious individuals went to the place the hero had mentioned.
They filmed clips and released more footage showing the hero's strength, causing a massive global buzz."
"And for a long time, the trend exploded.
Everyone — from kids to adults — began training that way to get stronger.
Videos began surfacing of people breaking trees easily,
running incredibly fast,
and even developing a strange symptom:
they started losing their hair gradually.
The stronger someone got, the more hair they lost,
until they went completely bald.
That never even happened in the comic or in reality —
baldness seemed to be the hero's unique feature."
Ibrahim looked at Unknown and asked:
— "Did that really happen?"
Unknown replied with surprise:
— "Yes, it was so popular that even Adam's father told us about it, imagine!
Adam's dad — who knows nothing about the internet or electronics —
knew all about it and explained it in detail!
That's why I was surprised when I heard you ask about it."
When Ibrahim heard that,
he thought: If even Adam's father knew about it, why didn't I?
Ibrahim tried to remember the past years,
and indeed, he could recall bits and pieces from the last nine years.
But when he tried to remember anything before ten years ago… he couldn't recall a thing.
What's happening to me?
Fear started rising inside Ibrahim:
Who am I? Where was I? Wait — didn't I train with swords when I was young?
Didn't I start working at the company 11 years ago?
And just when it seemed Ibrahim was about to realize something...
In some unknown place,
a person sat in contemplation of what could only be described as a collection of multiverses
intertwined in ways beyond comprehension.
He observed them in silence,
as if they were an open book in front of him.
He said:
— "He must not realize it yet."
Then sighed and added:
— "I didn't expect life in the phase of Exploration of the bizarre" —what they call the beginning of realm Stage 4 at Level 0 — to be this difficult.
Why must I go through this?"
Then he called out to someone in the distance:
— "Big brother, I need your help."
Through this call, across an endless distance,
his voice reached a different time and place,
to someone who appeared to be from the modern world,
wearing athletic clothes.
Words explaining the situation reached him.
He smiled and said:
— "No problem."
Then a disruption in reality occurred.
If we had to describe it in words: error.
Distortions began forming around him.
As for Ibrahim, who was just about to understand something,
it was as if something inside him was disabled,
and he forgot everything that had just happened.
He turned to Unknown and smiled:
— "So, what happened in the end?"
Unknown said:
— "After investigations by the police and experts,
it turned out everything was a promotional stunt for that comic series,
and all the clips were fake.
The destroyed street — they said it was a bomb that did it.
The videos were all edited."
"But still, some people believe it to this day,
and even promote it."
Suddenly, Ibrahim asked Unknown:
— "But wait… how do you know all this?"
Unknown, recalling how he and Adam tried doing those exercises a few months ago —
which, by the way, didn't work for them — replied:
— "By the way, uncle, your acting was amazing — for someone who didn't know about it."
Remembering that, Ibrahim smiled smugly and said:
— "It's the experience of many years…
It's what helped me avoid a lot of trouble."
