The air churned with ever-burning essence, the oxygen breaking down, making it hard to breathe.
Todo, in slow motion, turned his head as he heard—
"Kan'i Ryōiki."
(Simple Domain.)
Yuji's lips curved into a frown of fright and fear, cursed energy blazing and spreading everywhere.
Suddenly, Yuji and Todo stood side by side in a separate, alternate space. Their hands were bound together by ropes designed with charms.
Todo widened his eyes as he looked down at the ropes. He snapped his head toward Yuji, whose leg buckled in fear.
"Yuji! Snap out of it!"
Todo brought him back to reality.
"Y-yeah..."
A monstrous Shikigami sat in a meditative pose, hands positioned with the right placed over the left, whispering:
"No matter what, where, or how, one is bound to the palm of my hand."
Todo's face twisted in disgust before he shifted his arms forward, aiming to activate his technique.
"One."
Itadori used brute strength to break free from the charm-riddled rope, clenching his teeth.
"Two."
I'm gonna die. This is different from that special grade curse we fought in the juvenile center, Yuji thought, veins popping from his head.
"Three!"
CLAP!
Todo clapped his hands together, activating his technique.
Itadori vanished from sight.
Todo felt a shiver down his spine, goosebumps blooming on his skin. A cold grasp.
Cursed tattoos appeared all over Todo's arm, burning with intensity.
Is this all its effect? What are these marks?
Todo's mind raced with possibilities.
Outside the domain, Itadori had switched places with the rock Todo had thrown at Hanami, its residual cursed energy enabling the technique even within the simple domain.
Yuji gritted his teeth, eyes filled with worry, launching his fist at the contained barrier.
But before his hand could connect, the barrier shattered on its own, Todo flying past him.
SLIDE!
Itadori stopped in his tracks, looking at Todo. But before he could comprehend anything—
A large palm grabbed him, slamming him into the ground.
The ground spiderwebbed with cracks, blood and saliva bursting from Itadori's mouth.
CLAP!
Todo switched places with Yuji.
He twisted midair, slamming a kick into the Shikigami.
It caught the kick with ease, both hands gripping Todo's leg. Todo's eyes widened. The Shikigami smiled, its sharp teeth glistening with murder.
"BLACK FLASH!!"
The man of sparking black had up a performance.
Itadori buried his fist in a blur into the Shikigami's back, a wave of wind and debris exploding from the hit.
The Shikigami stumbled, letting go of Todo's leg.
Todo flipped back to his feet, speeding toward the curse. Itadori blitzed in beside him.
With a shared intent to delete its existence, their synergy held strong.
"FALL!"
The Shikigami snapped its hands.
SLICE!
Multiple cuts appeared, bisecting Todo across his body.
Pints of blood sprayed everywhere, decorating the ground in crimson.
Shock overtook Itadori's face. A lump rose in his throat, refusing to go down as the realization settled in.
The Shikigami stepped forward. Itadori couldn't breathe.
No sound.
But then—
A large axe came into view, severing the Shikigami's right hand.
"It seems like you're in a pickle, aren't you, Itadori-kun~"
A seductive voice cut through the tension.
"Huh?"
A light blue-haired woman stepped into the sunlight, tilting her head calmly. Her eyes scanned the battlefield.
The Shikigami regrew its severed hand.
"Who are you?" Itadori asked, breathless.
"Who, me?" She twirled her axe with precision. "I'm Mei Mei. Nice to meet you."
She locked eyes with the Shikigami, sweat trailing down her face.
It's getting hot… very fast. Could be the result of this Shikigami. From the way it handled Todo and Itadori, it's clear, this isn't just any special grade.
I might even get killed…
"I won't waste time. Let's get you exorcised."

Inside the curtain, Utahime, Nobara, and Mai faced a cursed technique user wielding a katana, with hands for a handle.
"Ahh, it's been really boring. I don't know why, but I'm really happy I get to meet a ton of cheeks!" he said gleefully, waving his katana.
"Haven't you said that before? Anyways, shut the hell up before I nail your mouth shut," Nobara snapped, her eye twitching.
"Don't be so rude now. We can—"
Before he could finish, the veil above them lifted. The dull curtain faded out of existence.
"What? The veil's been lifted?" Utahime muttered.
"Seems like it," Mai agreed, spinning her revolver.

On the other side of Jujutsu High, a cursed user ranted about his wet dream of using Gojo as a shoe rack made from his spine.
"Ah yes, and then I'll hang my coat and hat on the top of his spine, the vertebrae for my gloves, and—
Hold up, isn't that Gojo?!"
He trailed off, staring at the man hovering above the ground.
Gojo's Six Eyes shimmered as he surveyed the battlefield.
"I see... Itadori."
On the ground, Yuji struggled under Todo's weight, his knees nearly giving out.
"Gojo Sensei!"
"Hmph. What a monster this kid's becoming. His flow and synergy with cursed energy… significantly improved," Gojo analyzed from above.
"Todo's hurt pretty bad... I hope he makes it.
But that thing... is it a Shikigami? No, it definitely is."
It's building pressure even from over here.
Gojo turned toward the loud, raving curse user.
"Gojo Satoru! Get down here! I have a collection of spine racks waiting!!"
Gojo sighed, his glistening blue eyes dimming with disinterest.
VOOM!!
Gojo appeared before the cursed user. The cursed user's eyes widened with excitement, saliva dripping from his lips.
"Don't worry, I'll put your bones to good use, you genetic fraud!!"
Gojo only smiled.
CRUSH!!
The cursed user's arms and legs twisted under an unknown pressure. Blood, bone, and flesh splattered into the air. His face was frozen in disbelief.
The petals of blood flew toward Gojo—but stopped midair.
"Gojo! What are you doing?! Are you trying to kill him?!" Old man Gakuganji reprimanded.
"What? It's not like he's gonna die," Gojo chuckled, pointing at the mangled corpse.
"...I don't know. Take him to Shoko. She might be able to figure out something." He shrugged.
Gakuganji sighed.
"Now, for the main dish." Gojo's voice held a damning finality.
---
Utahime felt the abrupt shift in air. Nobara shivered at the building intensity.
Mei Mei shifted her stance, her senses flaring with the danger ahead.
"Itadori! Take Todo and get out of here—NOW!" she commanded, dashing away from the incoming clash.
Itadori hesitated but obeyed, running after her. The Shikigami did not pursue—it only tilted its head.
"What's happening?!" Itadori asked.
"You'll get caught in it," Mei Mei replied, curtly.

REVERSAL RED.
LAPSE BLUE.
"Reversal Red, charged with positive energy, opposite of cursed energy, energizes Blue, a pulling force.
Now… what happens when you smash a repulsive and pulling force together?" Gojo asked nonchalantly, two orbs, red and blue, floating before him.
His Six Eyes shimmered with cursed light.
"Everything gets shredded into pieces in this imaginary mass."
The orbs collided, forming a massive purple sphere that twisted space around it, threatening to erase everything in its path.
SNAP!
Gojo snapped his fingers forward.
The Purple sphere launched at absurd speed, folding space in its wake.
"Hollow Purple."
