🎭 Scene 1: The Whisper of the Nobles – Chamber of Velvet Echoes
Twelve noble houses.
Each with their own sigil, history, and agenda.
They had come to Emberhold for a coronation.
They witnessed a revolution.
And now they sat — some trembling, others fuming — in the Velvet Echoes Chamber, whispering about the man who refused their games.
> "He's a fool," said Lady Mavara of House Ilthane. "A child in a man's body. You don't reject the throne. You take it or die."
> "Is that so?" replied Lord Thedos Vire, old and stone-eyed. "Then why does every flame now answer to his voice, while ours flicker like dying candles?"
A silence.
Because they all knew the answer:
The fire had chosen him.
Not just as ruler.
But as witness.
> "What happens now?" someone whispered.
> "We bow," Thedos said grimly. "Even if there's no throne to bow to."

🏹 Scene 2: The Rebels' Camp – Outside Emberhold
Selene Aurin watched the smoke rise from Emberhold's highest tower.
Not fire. Not destruction. Just the soft exhale of flame — as if the city itself had sighed in relief.
She stood among hundreds of flame-marked rebels.
None of them moved.
All of them… watched.
Riven had not sent word. Had not claimed victory. Had not ordered them to march.
Yet none dared act until he spoke.
Selene's second-in-command, Jorek, approached.
> "He's not even calling himself king," Jorek muttered. "So what the hell are we supposed to follow?"
> "The one thing he still is," Selene whispered.
"Unbreakable."
Her eyes stung.
Not from smoke.
From memory.
She had betrayed him once.
And now he was the only one whose fire didn't burn her.

🔥 Scene 3: The Scribes – Ember Archive's Memory Vault
Scribe Auron, keeper of the Emberhold's historical scrolls, stood trembling before an open tome.
The script on the page… was changing.
Not ink. Not illusion.
But flamecarving — magic only one man in the kingdom could now wield.
Riven.
Lines that once told of his betrayal were rewriting themselves:
> "Prince Caelen Valtoris ascended the throne after the purification of Aedric, the heretic…"
Became:
> "Riven, reborn from the ashes, refused the throne. And still, it followed him."
Auron dropped to his knees.
> "He's not just rewriting history," he breathed.
"He's… correcting it."

🧨 Scene 4: The Soldiers – West Gate Barracks
At the edge of the city, three hundred royal guards gathered for inspection.
Their commander, Captain Harvan, once sentenced rebels to public burning.
Today?
He carried a flame-sigil over his heart.
Riven's sigil.
A fresh recruit asked:
> "Sir, we're... we're wearing the mark of a man who rejected the king's crown?"
Harvan's gaze was steel.
> "We're wearing the mark of a man who can walk into a flame council alone and walk out alive."
He adjusted his armor.
> "If he doesn't want the throne, fine.
We'll hold it in place until he's ready to burn the world down with it."

😔 Scene 5: Caelen's Private Chamber
Caelen Valtoris, still wrapped in royal silk, sat on his father's throne.
Alone.
No fire danced around him.
No embers answered his commands.
His reflection in the golden basin showed not a king…
…but a shadow of one.
He whispered to the silence:
> "He doesn't rule. He refuses to."
He looked up toward the ceiling, as if the stone could hear.
> "Then why does everyone still call him king?"
