Chapter 17: Krillin vs. the Three Admirals!

Krillin wasn't entirely sure if accepting help from the employer—Whitebeard—would affect the outcome of his mission.

But one thing was clear.

He wasn't going to take that risk.

With his current strength, he could complete the task entirely on his own. There was no need to gamble on a technicality. If the system decided that the mission failed because Whitebeard interfered, it would be an embarrassing and unnecessary loss.

He would take no shortcuts.

Cosmic Thug Group Discussion

Meanwhile, back in the interdimensional Cosmic Thug Group, chatter buzzed among the group of fighters watching Krillin's battle unfold live.

Beerus: "I suddenly thought of something. What exactly counts as 'pacifying' the war? Does it mean killing all the enemies?"

Son Goku: "Lord Beerus, the goal is to end the war, right? So we don't have to kill everyone."

Piccolo: "Exactly. If both sides agree to stop fighting, then that should count as completing the mission."

Vegeta: "Hmph, what a hassle. If it were me, I'd just eliminate all the employer's enemies and be done with it."

Master Roshi: "There's more than one way to complete a mission. Vegeta, your kill-first attitude is a bit extreme."

Vegeta: "I'm just saying—it's the most efficient way."

Goku: "But Krillin won't go that far. His employer only asked him to take care of that Admiral—Akainu. So once Akainu is down, the war might naturally come to an end."

Tien: "True, but if Whitebeard decides to keep fighting even after that, then Krillin will probably support him until the conflict is settled."

Piccolo: "Anyway, I'm sure Krillin will complete the mission. We don't have to worry."

---

Unaware of the chat, Krillin stood on the battlefield, his focus locked on Akainu. His expression turned cold and serious.

Although he was confident in his own abilities, he never underestimated his enemies. Especially not one like Akainu, a man whose brutality and power had left scars across many.

Akainu, on the other hand, looked absolutely furious.

He had worked hard to bring Whitebeard down. His efforts, his injuries—all of it—had gone to waste the moment Krillin handed over the Senzu Bean.

Now Whitebeard stood tall and strong, his past wounds erased. Akainu's face darkened with frustration.

Then, his eyes drifted to Krillin's waist—the pouch.

That's where the magical beans were kept. If he could just get his hands on it, he could heal his wounds, perhaps even turn the tide of battle again.

But how?

The Admirals Join Forces

Akainu gritted his teeth and barked, "Kizaru! Aokiji! Cover me!"

He knew that facing Krillin alone might be suicide. But if the three admirals joined forces, surely they could overwhelm even someone of Krillin's level.

After all, even if this mysterious warrior was stronger than a single admiral, no one could endure the coordinated assault of all three generals.

Especially if Whitebeard stayed on the sidelines.

Without hesitation, Aokiji stepped forward and unleashed Ice Age, his signature move. The frigid energy burst out and began freezing the ground around Krillin, aiming to immobilize him.

At the same time, Kizaru raised his hand and fired off a barrage of laser beams. Unlike his earlier half-hearted attacks, this time he meant business. Too many people were watching—slacking off wasn't an option.

Then came Akainu.

His fists transformed into glowing molten magma. With a roar, he launched one of his deadliest techniques—Meteor Volcano.

Magma fists exploded upward and rained down like a deadly meteor shower.

It was a wide-area attack—not only targeting Krillin but also threatening the surrounding Whitebeard Pirates.

Akainu's message was clear: if he couldn't win, he'd take as many enemies down with him as possible.

---

Whitebeard's Concern

Seeing the combined assault, Whitebeard frowned deeply. His fingers twitched, ready to jump in and assist Krillin. The attack was no joke.

But before he could move—

Krillin disappeared.

Gone. Vanished from sight.

---

Behind You!

"Behind!!" roared Sengoku, his voice sharp with warning.

Akainu, Kizaru, and Aokiji turned instantly—and froze.

Krillin was already there, floating just behind them, calm and deadly.

None of them had seen how he moved.

Even Kizaru, the man of light himself, was stunned.

He was fast—one of the fastest in the world thanks to his Devil Fruit—but even he needed to transform into light to reach top speed.

Krillin, on the other hand, had moved so silently and so quickly, there wasn't even an energy ripple.

Was it a Devil Fruit? No.

This speed was pure martial arts mastery.

And it was terrifying.

---

The Desperate Counterattack

Kizaru's casual demeanor vanished. He couldn't slack off now.

Everyone's eyes were on them. He couldn't afford to paddle through this one.

Gritting his teeth, he raised two fingers and aimed—not to fire lasers, but to release a blinding burst of light directly at Krillin's eyes.

It worked.

Krillin was caught off guard and winced, blinking hard as his vision temporarily faded into white.

Akainu and Aokiji didn't waste the opening.

Akainu roared, launching his devastating Meigou (Dark Hound)—a magma-fist wolf-shaped blast burning with deadly intent.

Aokiji followed up with Pheasant Beak, an icy spear of compressed cold air, shot with incredible speed and precision.

---

Krillin's vision was still blurry, but his senses were sharper than ever. He could feel two devastating energies approaching—one searing hot, the other bone-chilling cold.

They were incredibly close.

For most people, there would've been no time to react. They would've been hit head-on.

But Krillin was not most people.

His reaction speed was on a completely different level.

In the blink of an eye, he pushed off the frozen ground and leapt into the air, flipping over the combined attacks with graceful precision.

The magma and ice blasts collided beneath him, creating a spectacular explosion of steam and shattered terrain.

---

Back to the Chat Room

Beerus: "Did you all see that? Krillin just dodged simultaneous attacks from two admirals while blinded."

Whis: "Impressive composure under pressure. He's no longer just a support character."

Vegeta: "Hmph. At least he knows how to dodge now. Unlike Kakarot who likes to take hits head-on."

Bulma: "Give him credit, Vegeta. That was awesome!"

Jack: "He's already used to fighting beings far stronger than these admirals. This isn't even close to his limit."

---

Back in the battlefield, Akainu, Aokiji, and Kizaru regrouped, each wearing a grim expression.

They had missed—together.

The three greatest offensive powers in the Navy couldn't land a clean hit on this man.

Worse, Krillin had barely broken a sweat.

He landed gently on a nearby ledge, dusting off his robes.

"You guys are supposed to be the Navy's top dogs?" Krillin said calmly. "I expected more."

The three admirals tensed.

The insult stung.

And they were only getting started.
