Chapter 42: One Move Destroys All – Doubling the Power!

Under the stunned gazes of Guo Jing, Huang Rong, and the others, Piccolo hurled the massive energy ball in his hand toward the Mongolian army below.

The moment it left his fingertips, chaos erupted on the battlefield.

The Mongolian soldiers, who just moments before had stood in formation, now screamed and scattered like frightened ants. Horses neighed wildly. Cannons were abandoned. Soldiers pushed and trampled over one another in a desperate attempt to escape the incoming catastrophe.

But it was all in vain.

The energy orb struck the ground with a deafening BOOM, and a blinding light swallowed the entire battlefield. The shockwave was immense, shaking the ground violently. Even people standing within Xiangyang City felt the tremors beneath their feet.

Citizens inside the city panicked, unaware of what was happening. Some thought the Mongolian army had breached the walls. Others feared an earthquake had struck.

Even Xiangyang's walls groaned under the pressure of the shockwave.

Had Piccolo not raised a protective energy barrier around the city in the last moment, it was certain that the ancient stone walls would have cracked, if not collapsed entirely.

When the explosion finally subsided and the smoke began to clear, everyone turned their eyes toward the battlefield. What they saw left them speechless.

The entire Mongolian army had vanished.

In their place was an enormous, bottomless crater.

No corpses. No debris. No trace of the ten-thousand-man force that had moments earlier threatened the city. Only scorched earth, charred smoke, and a hole so deep and wide that one could not see the bottom.

It was as if a second sun had fallen from the heavens and obliterated everything.

"This... this is the power of an immortal..." one soldier whispered, his voice trembling.

"If that attack had been aimed at Xiangyang instead of the Mongols... the entire city would have turned to ash."

"Thank the heavens he's on our side!"

Even though they had witnessed some of Piccolo's abilities before, Guo Jing and the others still couldn't believe what they had just seen. The scale of destruction was beyond anything they could've imagined. They were martial artists—familiar with techniques, internal energy, and even the supernatural. But this? This was divine wrath.

Falun Dafa King Jinlun stood beside Guo Xiang, pale and dumbfounded. He stared at the massive crater in front of him with glassy eyes, his lips twitching as he tried to speak.

"I… I attacked him earlier…" he muttered, as if waking from a dream.

How had he dared to attack such a being? How had he thought his palm strike—however strong it might have been in the martial world—could harm someone capable of wiping out an army with a single blast?

He shivered at the memory of his failed attack.

Looking at Guo Xiang, his eyes filled with gratitude. If not for her plea to spare him, he might have shared the same fate as the Mongolian army—or worse.

Standing atop the city walls, Piccolo hovered in the air like a god surveying his domain. His arms were folded, his cape fluttered behind him, and his expression remained calm.

"The task is complete," he said, descending lightly to the ground before Guo Jing. "If you're satisfied, please rate the mission with five stars."

Guo Jing and the others blinked, momentarily confused by the request. Five stars? What kind of heavenly being asks for a rating?

But before they could ask, Piccolo vanished in a swirl of energy, returning to the world he had come from.

Suddenly, Guo Jing felt a strange flow of energy and thoughts enter his mind. A stream of information surged forth, helping him understand what had just happened.

He saw a glimpse of a mysterious gathering—a multiversal chat group, connecting beings from different worlds. He realized Piccolo had been sent to help him by a higher being, someone called Jack, and that Piccolo was rewarded with points and praises based on his performance.

Feeling awe and gratitude, Guo Jing didn't hesitate. "Five stars," he said firmly.

Back in the chat group, Piccolo reappeared.

[Multiverse Chat Group – Notifications Appearing]

Piccolo: "Everyone, I'm back after completing my mission!"

Krillin: "Piccolo! How was it? Going to another world to complete a mission—wasn't it awesome?"

Piccolo: "Indeed. The world I visited was quite weak compared to ours, but the satisfaction of helping an employer accomplish their goal… it felt great."

Ding!

Congratulations to group member Piccolo for completing the mission and earning 150,000 points!

You have also received a Five-Star Rating and unlocked one free lottery draw!

Piccolo: "@Jack, Group Leader Jack, I was wondering… do you still have any Saiyan bloodline left? If you do, I'd like to exchange for it."

Jack: "Nope. I only had one vial of that, and it's already been claimed. But I have other bloodlines available. Interested?"

Piccolo: "I really wanted that Saiyan bloodline. But if it's not available, I'll just try my luck with the lottery."

Goku: "You're drawing a lottery? Need someone else to spin the wheel for you?"

Piccolo: "No thanks. I'll do it myself. I want to experience the thrill firsthand."

Ding!

Congratulations to Piccolo! You have received a reward: a Move Power Doubling Card!

---

Goku: "Move Power Doubling Card? What's that?"

Krillin: "It's a prop. You can apply it to any one of your special techniques, and it will permanently double that move's power!"

Goku: "Nice! Piccolo, try it out!"

Piccolo: "Alright, let me give it a shot."

A moment passed.

---

Piccolo: "I'm back. I used the card on my Special Beam Cannon (Makankosappo). Now, its power has doubled!"

Tien: "Wow, that's incredible. Your Special Beam Cannon was already powerful enough to pierce through enemies' defenses. Now it's twice as strong?"

Piccolo: "That's right. Though honestly, if I had a choice, I would've preferred a Strength Doubling Card. That would increase all my stats, not just one move."

Krillin: "Don't be greedy! You already got an awesome prize. Compared to me, your luck is amazing. I only ever drew basic points."

Piccolo: "Haha, fair enough. I guess I'm luckier than you."

Piccolo: "Still… if only Jack had more Saiyan bloodline stock, I'd definitely make an exchange."

Goku: "You can buy it from the multiverse store, but it's expensive. You'll need one million points."

Piccolo: "One million?! I just earned 150,000! I'd have to do six more missions like this!"

Beerus: "You're still better off than me. I haven't even earned a single point!"

As the chat group continued to buzz with lighthearted banter, Piccolo looked at his updated status screen:

New Ability: Special Beam Cannon – Power x2

Achievements: Successful World Mission, Five-Star Employer Review

Although he didn't get the Saiyan bloodline he wanted, Piccolo couldn't deny that the mission had been a massive success.

He had saved an innocent girl, defeated an entire army with one move, earned praise from his employer, and grown stronger in the process.

Not bad for a day's work.

And who knows? Maybe Jack would release more Saiyan blood in the future… or maybe another mission would offer a bigger challenge.

For now, Piccolo folded his arms and leaned back in his seat, letting the glow of accomplishment settle in.

In another world, Guo Jing stared out at the massive crater that had replaced his enemies.

An immortal had come and saved his family… and his city.

Though they came from different universes, they both knew the same truth:

Power protects. And when the right hands wield it, miracles can happen.
