The Rules Of The Forest

Cindy sat down at the table while Princess sat on the bed. Cindy began to explain the rules. There are only two Rules. Rule number one: You must never leave your house before 10:00am. And rule number two: You must be home by 5:00pm every day. Just as quick as the little lady came she was gone. Princess could not believe her ears. There is no tv, phone, or neighbors, what I 'm supposed to do in this small house. I only have seven hours outside, she thought. There was however a bookshelf full of books. I guess I can read. She walked over to the books and grabbed a book that read Caged Bird. This sounds about right, she uttered. Just as she decided to sit down to eat there was a knock on the door. Now who could that be. She walked over to the door to find a girl who looked a lot like her. She was young and looked kind of scared. Princess opened the door and said hello. How are you? The girl stood frozen for a moment so it is true she said, sounding a bit puzzled. My name is Rosey and I live a mile or so from here. Do you know who you are? Princess said sure I do. Rosey said no, do you know the story behind Princess world? Princess looked at Rosey and said no, do you. Rosey said I most certainly do and I am going to tell it to you. Just not today because I have to make it home before curfew and I can't be seen coming from your house. Rosey jumped up and ran towards the door. That night Princess could not shake the thoughts of all Rosey said. The next day Princess sat up in her bed. Oh my back aches, this bed is so not comfortable. It was now Sunday morning. Another day came and went and no sign of Rosey. Princess decided to take a nap. When she woke up there was a cup of tea on her table with a note that read drink this tonight before bed signed Cindy. She thought that’s strange. I locked my door and how did she get in. The tea was clear with a floating leaf. Princess decided to stay inside and read her book.
