Mmm~ This bed feels so comfortable today... Hehehe, are you trying to seduce me?...
"Hey... I think you should wake up." It was a wary voice.
"...mm, what?" I was very sleepy.
Then I opened my eyes, only to find myself in a bizarre world. A white world where nothing else seems to exist.
"Where am I? Is this how the afterlife looks like?" I warily asked.
"No... I'm not sure either. I suddenly woke up here." It was the voice of a girl.
She had long black hair with bangs in front, she also had green eyes that looked like a tree leaf's colour.
Suddenly woke up here? Is this some sorts of reincarnation, transmigration or...
A death game?
I looked around as I found other people talking to each others. We were all separated by an invisible barriers.
There was 4 people in each space and there was exactly 120 people in this white world.
"Hey! You! Any idea what this is all about?" It was the voice of a middle-aged man.
He looked like an average middle-aged man with just ordinary brown eyes.
"No idea... I still wanna sleep~" I answered with a sleepy voice.
Yawn~
"Tsk. I've just lost all my money on gambling and the next day I get sent here!?" The middle aged man said angrily as he punched the invisible barrier.
So loud... Why do you need to tell people you lost money on gambling anyways?
A system popped up out of thin air, [System: WorldKiller 234.] and then it disappeared like it never existed.
"World killer?" Wait... isn't that from that novel?
"What's that supposed to mean!?" The man yelled out in frustration.
"It's from a novel called dimensions traveller's lost memories." I calmly answered.
"What!? A novel?" The man was confused and agitated.
"Yes and I'm guessing we've been transmigrated into the novel." I calmly explained.
Anyways... World killer 234, if I recall correctly... I think this one lost like a fodder in the first war of dimensions...
"We're all on the side of the villains?..." The green-eyed girl said with a worried face.
"Yes, I guess so." ...and we may be doomed from the start.
There was also another girl inside the space isolated with a invisible barrier. She seemed unapproachable as she stayed quiet and observed our conversation.
Let's see... The part about recruitment on this world wasn't written in the novel. The system chooses 20 people out of the 120 for each world and send them into the army of WorldKillers... The other 100 dies in the choosing process.
Anyways, the system only just notified us of its existence... I guess there's still time before the selection starts? I wonder what kind of selection system this world has...
"Hey..." The quiet girl talked.
...? Is she talking to me?
"Hey..." She repeated her words.
"...what do you want?" I got straight to the point.
"I think we should introduce ourselves..." She whispered to me.
Why's she whispering?... Is she that shy?
"Hmm... Alright. Let's introduce ourselves to each others." I said loud enough for everyone in this space to hear...
"My name's Floria..." The green-eyed girl introduced first.
"Oliver." The middle-aged man introduced himself shortly.
"I'm Elenora..." She said with a low voice.
Lastly, me... "I'm Rion, nice to meet you all." I said with a smile.
"Nice to meet you..." Floria said as she returned a smile.
...We only told our names to each others but there was really no need for any of us to disclose personal informations either. This is only for pleasantries since we might have to work as a team in the selection process... After all, why would they bother placing invisible barriers like this otherwise?
"Hey, Rion..." Elenora whispered yet again.
"What's it?" ...hmm, she reminds me of a cat with her cat-like eyes.
"...I think this world is a "magician" world." She said quietly, only enough for me to hear.
"As in performing and tricking the audience by doing something impossible with a fake outcome?" I asked with a low voice aswell.
"Yes." She answered shortly.
Hmm... There was no specific mention of a worldkiller that played as a "magician". I think it was probably because they were too weak... After all, some worldkillers even manipulate time and reality.
"...can you tell me how you know that?" I warily asked.
"If you look at the system message earlier carefully, there's a small magician hat in the upper left corner of it." She answered while fidgeting her fingers.
There's something like that? Is she really that attentive? I think she'll make a reliable teammate... For the other two, I'm not quite sure about them yet.
It was information you'd know sooner or later when the selection starts. Even so, I think it was quite nice of her to tell me in advance. Now, I'll have time to try and prepare somehow... Although, I'm not sure what kind of tests this magician world selection will have...
