Knife

Oliver was surprised by the man's action of giving him another gift.

It seemed he was the type of person—among the Awakeners—who genuinely liked helping others.

What he threw to him was a small, crescent-shaped knife, transparent like glass, but actually made from a material even harder than iron.

It was light, yet just looking at it gave Oliver the sensation of a blade resting against his neck—the sharpness was palpable.

(Tier 2+ Knife!)

A notification from his Observation Ring popped up, shocking him even more.

Tier 2 weapons were typically split into two levels—standard and plus.

The latter sat at the very peak of Tier 2 and could overpower standard Tier 2 weapons in combat.

Many Awakeners above Level 21 and Cultivators in the Earth Master Realm still used Tier 2+ weapons until they could obtain a Tier 3 one.

In other words, even for them, this weapon was powerful enough to match their strength.

For Awakeners below Level 20 and Cultivators in the Spiritual Master Realm, Tier 2+ weapons were practically the strongest available.

He hadn't expected this man to give him something so valuable. After all, weapons like this fetched extremely high prices.

"By the way, kid, if you live in London, come to my house tomorrow night. I'm throwing a big party to celebrate my level-up. I promise, you can do anything at that party," Rowan Lee said again.

Oliver was left frozen by his words.

A party? He had never even attended one before.

In London, and hosted by a powerful Awakener, the extravagance of such a party was beyond his imagination.

Unfortunately, he lived in Manchester.

"That might be impossible. I live in Manchester and can't travel that far," he replied with a wry smile.

"That's a shame. But you should come to London sometime—there are more beautiful women from all over the world in London," Rowan said.

After saying that, he suddenly summoned his portal and disappeared into it, leaving Oliver alone in the corridor.

Of course, he preferred being alone over being with someone he barely knew.

He didn't rush to leave and instead stepped back into the underground chamber.

Shards of the black snake's scales were scattered across the ground—small, but when Oliver touched one, he found it incredibly hard.

Clang!

When he tapped it, a loud, metallic clang echoed.

He narrowed his eyes at the scale—its black color made him assume it belonged to a venomous snake. But on closer inspection, he noticed tiny void dots—similar to the Void Body Transformation technique he had, back when it only showed as lines. The difference was, these appeared as dots.

"So this snake actually had void power," Oliver muttered.

Though void power was extremely rare, that didn't mean there were no monsters with it.

Void existed everywhere—space behind space. It could naturally appear in many places.

However, most monsters couldn't truly harness it. It would manifest in their bodies, but they lacked the means to unlock its potential.

If they could, they'd become extremely dangerous.

This snake was clearly one of the types that possessed a small amount of innate void power but couldn't develop it.

'Much better to study portals than these tiny void dots,' Oliver thought.

'Still... they're valuable.'

He didn't think the void dots were entirely useless, so he gathered the remaining scales.

Unfortunately, very few scales were left—Rowan Lee's lightning had been too destructive.

Once the scales were completely shattered, the void embedded in them naturally vanished.

Oliver managed to collect only twenty scales in total.

Combined, they were about the size of a pillow.

He even counted the void dots embedded in them—only forty-three.

'But when the snake was in its full form, these void dots must've been much bigger too,' he thought.

'Is there a way to restore these scales to their original size?' he wondered, deciding this was something he'd have to ask Evylin later.

He stored them away and returned to the corridor.

Now he wanted to return to Earth—but unlike Rowan Lee, he couldn't just summon a portal underground. What if the entire chamber and corridor collapsed? In that case, the next time he entered the Chaotic World, he'd practically be buried alive.

Rowan Lee might be able to force his way out using brute strength—but with Oliver's current power, that was out of the question.

He used Void Step to make his way back, reaching the cave again in no time—ignoring the snakes still inside.

After that, he climbed up the vines covering the cave to reach the top.

The cave was very tall.

Once at the top, he could see the surroundings clearly, though all he saw were countless hills and trees growing over them.

Unfortunately, it was nighttime now, so he couldn't see too far.

Since there was nothing else of interest, he finally summoned his portal and stepped through.

Back in his room, he sat on his bed with the wine bottle in his hand.

'Enlightenment isn't something you can gain through resources—it only comes from accumulated battles. But this wine seems capable of putting me in peak condition for cultivation. With that condition plus the Realm of my Will, I should be able to solve various things that confuse me beyond that moment of enlightenment,' he thought.

He glanced at the clock. Morning was still a long way off—perfect timing for some serious cultivation.

'I'll drink it now,' he said inwardly before opening the bottle.
