“I need to advance”

In the evening, I arrived at Noeda. The city gate was huge, it was white with symbols and sculptures engraved upon it, the sculptures were snake-like, and the symbols looked like runes probably for a barrier or something. At the Gate there were two guards stationed and several others behind them. As I tried to walk through the gate, I was stopped by one of the guards, he asked me where I was from and what business I had.

"Oh, I come from a small village up in the north and I heard this city has in the next time some tournaments ongoing, I want to enter as a competitor."

"Okay you may pass, ah before I forget what is your name?"

"It's Fynn."

"Have a good day."

"Thanks."

After that exchange I walked through the gate, the buildings in this city are 3 floors high impressive for their technology standard around here.

I walked further to find an Inn, but I found a little girl around the age of 10 in a Back Ally I walked slowly to her so not to scare her.

"Hello, what's your name?"

"Hmm"

She looked to me for a moment and turned her face away and said, "Go away."

"Why are you sitting there in the dirt?"

"I said go away!!!"

"Hey at least answer the question why you are sitting here, please."

"You won't understand it even if I tell you."

"At least try to talk, it doesn't hurt."

"You could never understand the pain if YOUR FAMILY gets slaughtered before your eyes and then you have nowhere to return to!!!"

"No, I understand your pain and even beyond that."

"Hmm?" (crying)

"I won't say anything further, but I want to give you something."

I created with my mana a physical object, a Necklace. It was matter creation a technique where you manipulate the mana in a physical object and bend it so into its desired shape.

"I'll give you this over time you will improve your abilities, but don't sell it if you do it will destroy itself."

She looked at me with a stare, she could not comprehend what I said. I gave her that necklace and said, "You'll improve your abilities, when it is contact with your body and you know there is a saying "the strongest is always right"."

With that I disappeared before her eyes just like I never stood there in the first place.

"Huhh? Where did he go? What is that necklace, a slave collar or something, no they look different. He said when I put it on, my abilities will improve and on top of that he said if I sell it, it'll destroy itself. What could I lose if I don't put it on, I already lost my family, I have no money and if I don't eat something I'll starve!"

She took some minutes to convince herself to put it on, as the necklace touched her body, she felt light, her hunger faded and her vision cleared.

"Whhatt is that?!!?!? Where has my hunger gone and why does my body feel so light?"

The next moment she collapsed to the ground and slept.

The next morning, she awoke two guards before her.

"Heh a little girl let's enslave her" (right guard)

"No better kill her if the superiors find out we are done for" (left guard)

"Yeah right" (right guard)

The left guard drew his sword and hit through the heart.

"We don't need to dispose of her, just let her rot" (left guard)

"Yeah lets go before anyone sees us" (right guard)

The girl stood up but was confused.

"How am I still alive?"

"Huh, who was that?"

"The one whose heart you just impaled."

The girl stood there alive, but she had a hole in her chest. The guards turned around, as they saw her the left guard uttered "I'll slice you in two to help you to reduce your pain"

As the guard did that her second half stood still in the air, reattached itself and healed her entire body.

"So that is that what he meant it'll increase your abilities regeneration, information and magicules. Huhhh just die you already inflicted too much pain on me."

With that she expanded the magicules in his body it looked like his body exploded.

"Hmmm, and what did you just say something like "let's turn her into a slave" for that your life won't be enough I'll erase your existence in the worst way possible by slowly tearing apart your soul" As she said that just one expression was on her face, it was a smile.
