The crowd erupted in cheers as Fabian crossed the finish line. His face split into a triumphant grin as he skidded to a stop, dirt flying beneath his bike tires. Behind him, Isaac Bennett pumped his legs furiously on his own bike, crossing the line seconds later with an exaggerated groan of defeat.

"Unbelievable!" Isaac exclaimed, clutching his chest dramatically. "Beaten by a six-year-old. My reputation is ruined."

Fabian beamed, hopping off his bike with the easy confidence of youth. "I told you I was fast."

"You didn't tell me you were secretly a professional cyclist," Isaac countered, ruffling Fabian's hair. "Where did you learn to take corners like that?"

My son puffed up with pride. "Uncle Leo taught me."
