An Impossible Choice and a Father's Vow

ROMAN

The air in Fabian's hospital room crackled with tension. Wesley's face contorted with shock, then rage, as my words sank in.

"You're lying," he spat, taking a threatening step toward me.

I stood my ground, refusing to back down. "I have no reason to lie."

My wolf clawed beneath my skin, urging me to attack this rival who had spent years with my son while I remained in the dark. But I kept him restrained. Barely.

Wesley turned to Vanessa, his eyes filled with betrayal. "Tell me he's lying."

Vanessa's face was pale, but her voice remained steady. "It's true, Wesley. Roman is Fabian's father."

The confirmation seemed to push Wesley over the edge. He whirled back to face me, his scent radiating pure aggression. "You rejected her! You humiliated her in front of everyone, and now you think you can walk in here and claim rights to her son?"

"My son," I corrected, my voice deadly quiet.
