Tristan and I strolled through the outdoor light gallery, surrounded by thousands of twinkling bulbs creating mesmerizing shapes and patterns. The evening air carried a slight chill, but I barely noticed it with Tristan walking close beside me.
"This is beautiful," I breathed, looking up at an enormous light sculpture shaped like a waterfall. Blue and white lights cascaded down in synchronized patterns, creating the illusion of flowing water.
"I'm glad you like it," Tristan said, his voice warm. "I heard about this exhibit and thought you might enjoy something different."
I smiled at him, appreciating the thoughtfulness. Our date was going surprisingly well. After the disastrous dinner at The Crystal with Julian watching us, I'd been hesitant to accept Tristan's invitation for a second date. But something about his charming persistence had worn me down.
