The privacy divider slid up with a soft mechanical purr as Hudson pulled the car away from the Bennett estate. My body was still humming with fury and something darker, more primal.

"I assume you caught that mess back there?" I asked Hudson, my voice deceptively calm.

"Yes, sir," Hudson replied, his eyes meeting mine briefly in the rearview mirror. "Quite the statement you made."

I leaned back against the leather seat. "It was necessary. Contact my finance team tomorrow. I want a full review of our investments in Arthur Bennett's companies."

Hudson's eyebrows rose slightly. "All of them, sir?"

"Every last one," I confirmed. "Make sure Arthur understands exactly how much of his business relies on my goodwill."

"Of course, sir. That would be approximately forty-two percent of his total funding."

I caught Seraphina's startled expression from the corner of my eye. Good. She needed to understand the power dynamics at play.
