Rebecca, still bursting with energy, ran toward Boros with her arms wide open.
"I'm so happy to see you again, Boros!"
The old innkeeper greeted her with a warm smile, crouching down to meet her at eye level.
"I'm glad to see you too, Rebecca. I hope your parents are doing well."
The girl nodded enthusiastically.
"Yes! They're both doing great!"
"Good to hear," Boros said warmly.
But soon, his gaze drifted behind him—toward Meliodas and Zeldris, who stood quietly nearby. Rebecca followed his line of sight, intrigued. Her dark eyes narrowed with curiosity.
"Hey, Boros… Who are those two behind you?"
The old man stood slowly, still smiling.
"They're guests from my inn. They're looking for someone."
"Who are they looking for?" Rebecca asked, her tone suddenly more serious.
Boros took a deep breath. His voice grew slightly more solemn.
"They're looking for someone named… Zéphyr."
Rebecca's expression changed instantly. Her eyes widened, and she spun around to face Meliodas and Zeldris.
"You… you're looking for Zéphyr? Why? What do you want from him?"
Meliodas stepped forward calmly, hands open in a peaceful gesture. He offered her a sincere smile.
"We just want to talk to him. Nothing more."
Zeldris added in a calm but firm voice:
"He may have answers. Answers only he can give."
Rebecca stayed silent for a moment, studying them with sharp eyes. There was hesitation in her gaze—but also a flicker of something else. Something like… recognition.
Boros then knelt beside her, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
"I told them you might be able to help, Rebecca. I promise you—they're not dangerous."
He turned toward the two brothers with a peaceful look.
"You have my word."
Rebecca closed her eyes for a second, took a deep breath, and then nodded.
"Alright… I'll help them."
She looked at Boros seriously.
"Because I trust you. And so does my father."
Then she turned to Meliodas and Zeldris, her tone lighter—but still resolute.
"Come on. Follow me."
Zeldris raised an eyebrow.
"Where to?"
Rebecca gave a mischievous smile.
"We're stopping by my house first. Then I'll take you to this Zéphyr you're looking for."
The two brothers exchanged a glance.
A solid lead. Finally.
