"Hiruzen!" A shrill roar suddenly echoed in the Konoha Root base late at night. Danzo Shimura woke up with a grim expression. In his dream, the conversation of "you regret it, I get angry, pow" had played out again. He couldn't help but clench his fists.
Hokage! He swore with tears in his eyes that he would definitely become the Hokage. Danzo took a breath, got out of bed, and left.
Through a gloomy corridor, he came to a room. He half-pushed open the door and stood at the entrance, looking at the soundly sleeping Yamato on the bed. Of course, right now his codename was Kinoe.
Yamato was the sole survivor of the Wood Style experiment. But it was worth mentioning that Orochimaru didn't know this; he thought the experiment had failed and all the test subjects had died. Danzo had played the role of a sneaky opportunist, picking up Yamato for free and bringing him back to Root.
"Fortunately, I already have hope." A nasty smile appeared on Danzo's face. As a student of the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju, he had seen the invincible Wood Style of the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju. As long as Yamato grew up, he could get rid of Hiruzen Sarutobi. Once Hiruzen was dead, in Konoha's moment of crisis, he could then become the Fourth Hokage, the savior of Konoha. This plan was simply flawless.
But his ambitions were far from just this. No matter how strong Yamato was, he was an outsider. Danzo wanted to transplant Hashirama's cells and obtain the Wood Style for himself. He had tried before, but the corrosive nature of Hashirama's cells was too strong, and it was impossible to transplant. Now, with the successful case of Yamato, perhaps it was possible.
Danzo closed the door and turned to go to the Root office. He had woken up in the middle of the night and had already lost the will to sleep. He might as well go and check on the research progress of the Wood Style.
The lights came on. Danzo casually picked up a document from the table, glanced at it, and his face became extremely grim. This document was from Hiruzen Sarutobi. Two things. First, for him to compensate for the damages to the Hokage's office. Second, Hagawa was already Tsunade's student, and he should stop his wishful thinking.
Danzo was so angry his body turned cold in the middle of the night. She doesn't take a disciple early, doesn't take one late, but specifically today. This is clearly aimed at me.
"Hiruzen! You will regret this!" Danzo roared at the sky.
The news of Tsunade taking a disciple spread quickly. Under Hiruzen's deliberate indulgence, it had spread throughout Konoha Village overnight. Of course, it was limited to the major ninja clans and the jonin. Ordinary villagers would probably only find out in a couple of days.
"What? Are you unhappy?" Sakumo Hatake opened the door and saw Kakashi standing by the window, exuding a sense of gloom. It was the first time he had seen his son react like this. He didn't have to think to know the reason. He, who had always been called a genius, had lost to Hagawa in swordsmanship, something he had never lost at before. He had directly jumped from depression to a "try not to laugh" challenge.
"No," Kakashi said stubbornly.
"I talked with Lord Hokage yesterday. Do you know where you lost?" Sakumo asked after a little thought.
"Where?" Kakashi turned around and asked with an expressionless face.
"Proficiency," Sakumo explained. "If it were a matter of equal proficiency in sword skills, you could have easily beaten Hagawa."
"I'm going to train right now," Kakashi said and then turned to walk out.
"Hey! Eat first!" Sakumo quickly shouted.
Sarutobi Clan Compound.
Although he didn't have to go to school, Asuma still got up very early. Losing to Hagawa made him not dare to sleep in. However, not long after, his enthusiasm took a blow.
"What did you say?" Asuma asked with a shocked expression. "Dammit! Why didn't you stop it?"
Tsunade was not an ordinary medical ninja; she possessed extremely terrifying strength. If Hagawa learned the Yin Seal and her monstrous strength, just thinking about it made Asuma's scalp tingle. An opponent with maxed-out attack and recovery... how could he even fight that?
"Are you afraid?" Hiruzen asked with a smile.
"How could I be afraid?!" Asuma said, sticking his neck out. "The past is the past, the present is the present, and the future is the future! I won't lose forever!"
"That's a good thing to say," Hiruzen coughed and reminded him, "Tsunade is my student."
Asuma was taken aback for a moment, then his eyes lit up. So what if it's Tsunade? Her teacher is my dad! By that calculation, I'm still a generation above Hagawa.
"I will personally train you for these two months," Hiruzen said with a chuckle. Finally, a chance to make Asuma feel the depth of a father's love!
...
Hagawa raised his hand and knocked. He didn't have a key to Tsunade's house. Last time he could get in directly was because she had been drunk and forgotten to lock the door.
A moment later, the door was opened. Tsunade was not wearing her usual sleeveless top and dark blue pants, but a white nightgown. The nightgown was loose, but it still couldn't hide her full figure, which looked quite voluminous. And Hagawa found that she was only wearing the nightgown, because there were faint points of light.
"So early?" Tsunade asked with a yawn.
"It's not early. It's almost nine o'clock." Hagawa had come over after training with Kurenai for two hours. The first reason was that he guessed Tsunade would sleep in. The second reason was that Kurenai had pitifully asked him early in the morning, "Are you going to see Lady Tsunade again?"
"I'll go change." Tsunade paused and said, "I want to eat ramen." After ordering her meal, she turned and went back to her room.
Hagawa retracted his gaze, went to the kitchen, and started making noodles. A few minutes later, he brought out a bowl of ramen and returned to the living room. Tsunade had already changed back into her clothes, her beautiful golden hair tied into two pigtails.
She picked up her chopsticks, slurped a mouthful of ramen, and her eyes lit up slightly. "This ramen of yours is not bad." In reality, it was the effect brought by the E-rank trait "Chef."
Hagawa watched Tsunade's ravenous appearance and increasingly suspected that the effect of the subsequent trait might be "so delicious it makes your clothes explode." It had to be said, the anticipation was building. I, Hagawa, am the God of Cooking!
"Ah!" Tsunade drank a mouthful of noodle soup, put down the bowl, and let out a long sigh.
Hagawa consciously took the bowl and chopsticks and went to the kitchen. Tsunade watched his figure, lost in thought. What should I teach him today? She had taught him before, but it was just casual guidance, not real teaching.
"Teacher." Hagawa finished washing the dishes and appeared before her.
"Let me see your chakra control first." Tsunade sat up straight, rarely being so serious.
Hagawa looked left and right, picked up a cup of water, and his chakra gushed out. The water instantly began to rotate. In the original work, chakra control was usually practiced by climbing trees or walking on water. Hagawa was using the training method for the Rasengan. Of course, it was a simplified version.
"Very good." Tsunade nodded with satisfaction. What was most commendable about Hagawa was that his fundamentals were extremely strong. One look and you could tell he had put in a lot of hard work. In reality, it was because he had the progress bar of his built-in trait system. Once he learned something, he wouldn't forget it; it would only accumulate.
"Today, I'll teach you a basic medical ninjutsu, the Hemostasis Technique," Tsunade said, picking up a fruit knife and looking at him.
