Chapter 47: A Bad Woman Who Plays with Emotions

The nature of the meal began to change the moment Tsunade started drinking. Hagawa was a child and didn't have a large appetite, so he was full quickly. But Tsunade drank this cup, and then the next, the smell of alcohol mixing with her fragrance and washing over him.

"Stop drinking, Teacher!" Hagawa couldn't help but remind her.

"What are you making a fuss about, you little brat?" Tsunade asked, her face flushed, her voice slurring.

"You still have to teach me later!" Hagawa said, feeling a headache coming on.

"I... I know my limits. It won't... it won't affect anything," Tsunade said, swaying her cup before downing it again.

"Drinking too much is bad for your health." Hagawa's eyes narrowed. He reached out and snatched the sake flask from in front of her.

"Give it back!" Tsunade leaned forward, swaying, and said, "I see you don't understand at all. Remember, a student must not defy their teacher!"

With her movement, her clothes rose and fell in waves. Her snow-white skin was as dazzling as a chandelier. Hagawa was momentarily dazed, and in that instant, his right hand was empty. The sake flask had returned to Tsunade's hand.

"Fighting with your teacher... you're... you're still a little too young," she said smugly.

You have no martial virtue! Using such a despicable method for a sneak attack... what student could withstand such a trial? Hagawa sighed, helpless against this drunkard. He now profoundly understood what it meant to be beyond one's reach.

"What? Are... are you angry?" Tsunade took a swig from the flask, glanced at him, and asked.

"No," Hagawa said, shaking his head. It wasn't something worth getting angry over.

"Then give your teacher a smile," Tsunade said, looking at his expression. She reached out and pinched his cheek.

What kind of female rogue is this? Hagawa was furious, glaring at her.

"Hahaha!" Tsunade's face was rosy, and she laughed happily. "You're so much fun!"

"I am not your toy," he protested.

"Students are for playing with," Tsunade said with a brilliant smile.

Hagawa suddenly felt a little regret. What kind of pirate ship have I boarded? But he would endure it for now and strike back in the future.

Amidst the cheerful atmosphere, dinner finally ended.

"You rest first. I'll go wash the dishes," Hagawa said, clearing the table.

"So considerate," Tsunade nodded with satisfaction, got up, went to the sofa, and directly lay down. She let out a comfortable sigh, feeling more and more that taking him as a disciple was the right choice.

Hagawa took the bowls and chopsticks to the kitchen. A few minutes later, after finishing the dishes, he returned to the living room and was slightly taken aback. Tsunade was lying quietly on the sofa, her eyes closed. In stark contrast to her previous appearance, she had become a sleeping beauty.

"Teacher?" Hagawa hesitated for a few seconds, then called out tentatively.

In her daze, Tsunade frowned, then pulled him into her chest, covering his mouth. Hagawa's head slammed right into her, and he even bounced twice. He was stunned for a few seconds before he realized what had happened. He had almost fallen into the "baby's cafeteria."

"Don't be noisy. I need to sleep," Tsunade said, releasing him and then falling back asleep. Soon, the sound of steady breathing could be heard.

Hagawa felt the rise and fall against his face and struggled to climb out of her embrace. He took a deep breath; the air was still filled with her fragrance.

"I knew this would happen." Hagawa looked at the sleeping Tsunade and couldn't help but shake his head. But wasting one night was nothing. One couldn't be too hasty with things. And after the final exams, he would have a two-month-long vacation, plenty of time.

Hagawa didn't disturb her any further and quickly returned home.

"You're back?" Shinku Yūhi asked curiously. "What did Lady Tsunade call you for?"

"To take me as her disciple." Hagawa glanced around but didn't see Kurenai.

Oh, taking you as her disciple. Shinku smiled, and then his expression froze. He shot up and asked quickly and urgently, "What did you just say? Who's taking a disciple? Who's the teacher?"

"Could it be that I'm the teacher?" Hagawa couldn't help but laugh. "Of course, it's Lady Tsunade who's my teacher."

Tsunade was the student of the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, and also one of the Sannin of Konoha. The news of her taking a disciple could not be hidden. And why should it be hidden? In a sense, the greater Hagawa's fame, the safer he would be. Hmm, should the Cloud Village give me some kind of reward for this? Hagawa thought to himself that he could take a trip there when he had time. In addition, he still had to withdraw the royalties from Taimanin and then find someone to forge a suitable katana.

"Hahahahahaha!" Shinku was stunned for a few seconds, but in the end, he couldn't hold it in and burst out laughing.

Are you also one of the four Uchiha jesters? Hagawa couldn't help but roast him internally, hearing his exaggerated laughter.

"I guess it's because you defeated Kakashi that Lady Tsunade made up her mind," Shinku said after he had calmed down, taking a deep breath. "Hagawa, work hard. You must not disappoint Lady Tsunade's expectations."

"Mm." Hagawa nodded, then asked, "Where's Kurenai?"

"She's in her room doing homework." Shinku was still unable to hide his excitement. Although Hagawa's surname wasn't Yūhi, he had learned genjutsu and lived in his house; it wasn't much different from having the Yūhi surname. If he became Tsunade's student, they would also benefit from the association. And maybe they would even become a family. Shinku smiled as he watched Hagawa walk into Kurenai's room.

"Hagawa?" Kurenai looked up subconsciously when she heard the door open.

"Why are you starting your homework as soon as the vacation begins?" Hagawa asked with a straight face. "Isn't homework something you're supposed to do in the last two days before school starts?"

"Where did you hear that?" Kurenai asked with a light snort.

"It's true," he said with a serious face. "Let me tell you, about this homework, I have four 'do-nots'. First, if it's too easy, I don't do it..."

Kurenai was amused by him and laughed very happily. A moment later, she patted her chest, stopped laughing, and asked, "How come you're back earlier than usual today?" Learning medical ninjutsu was time-consuming; normally he wouldn't be back so early.

"We didn't study today," Hagawa said casually. "It was the discipleship ceremony."

"You became Lady Tsunade's disciple?" Kurenai asked with a surprised expression.

"Mm," he nodded.

"So amazing!" she said excitedly. "That's Lady Tsunade!"

"She's alright, I guess," Hagawa sighed. "She's a lot of trouble."

"...?" For some reason, Kurenai had the urge to hit him.

...

Night fell.

Tsunade woke up. She looked at the familiar ceiling, her thoughts gradually returning. "That little brat is quite considerate." Tsunade noticed the blanket covering her. She lifted it, sat up, and with a casual wave of her hand, a stream of chakra accurately hit the light switch. The living room instantly lit up.

"Hm?" Tsunade casually picked up a note from the coffee table. It was from Hagawa.

"When you wake up, go to bed. I'll come again tomorrow morning."

Tsunade stared at this line of text, lost in thought.
