Chapter 49: Go Get 'em, Kakashi

"So it's you," Tekka snorted coldly. "You dead-last. You're simply a disgrace to our Uchiha clan!"

"What did you say?!" Obito glared at him.

"Am I wrong?" Tekka said without fear. "Every Uchiha who enrolls is inevitably in the top three. You are the only exception."

"I... I... I was letting them win!" Obito was a little embarrassed, but he didn't lose his momentum verbally. What Tekka said was indeed the truth. Because of his dead-last grades, he was not well-liked among the younger generation of the Uchiha.

"Only the weak need excuses," Tekka said, too lazy to bother with him. "Who is Hagawa?"

"What do you want with him?" Obito looked at Rin, patted his chest, and said, "Whatever it is, I'll take care of it!"

"You can't," Tekka said impolitely, shaking his head. "I'm going to challenge him and take back the Uchiha's number one spot."

"Dammit!" Obito's body trembled with anger. What's so great about being first? Why does everyone want to fight Hagawa?

"Go get 'em, Kakashi," Hagawa said after a pause. "Don't waste too much time."

"...?" Kakashi's small face showed a question mark. Am I some kind of summoned beast?

"You can't beat him?" Hagawa asked back, blinking his eyes.

"As easy as turning my hand over," Kakashi said in a deep voice.

"Arrogant!" Tekka reacted and said angrily.

"You're too noisy." Kakashi drew his short sword, and his body instantly disappeared.

Tekka's body had just moved when he felt a coldness on his neck. He subconsciously looked down and saw the short sword pressed against his skin, a faint stinging sensation. Kakashi had used a normal attack, and the effect was outstanding.

"H-how is that possible?" Cold sweat flowed down Tekka's forehead.

"You're not much better than Obito," Kakashi commented.

"Kakashi!" Obito's eyes were red as he asked, "What do you mean by that?"

"I don't mean anything," Kakashi said calmly, sheathing his sword.

"When I awaken my eyes, you will all lose!" Obito said through gritted teeth.

"Me too!" Tekka said, as if he had been reminded, sweeping away his dejection.

"Let's go." Hagawa walked past him and into the school.

"Are the Uchiha always this brave?" Kurenai asked in a low voice, keeping up with him.

"Just don't play with them," Hagawa said casually. The Uchiha... they're all psychopaths. And if you make friends with them, it's easy to be used as a consumable to awaken their eyes.

"Mm." Kurenai nodded, glanced at him, her face slightly red, and said, "I'll play with you."

Hagawa was slightly taken aback. The children in the ninja world really do mature early.

But... it wasn't just Kurenai who had designs on him.

"Hagawa-kun!"

"After two months, you've gotten even more handsome!"

"Hagawa-kun looked at me! Ahhh!"
