Chapter 8: Blood and Revelations

"You're eyeing what's in the pot while eating from your bowl, and now you want to come crawling back. Get lost."

No matter how much I refused, he remained unfazed. Suddenly, as if possessed, he grabbed my hand.

"Haven't you always wanted to have a wedding? I'll arrange it, give you an unprecedented grand wedding, and we'll even have a lovely child in the future."

"Let go of me!" I shoved him away with one hand.

The store clerk, Ethan Grant, heard the commotion and hurried out from the kitchen.

At the moment he saw Ethan, his eyes turned bloodshot.

"Who is he? Is it because of him that you refuse to get back with me? What's so good about him, just a waiter!"

Listening to his words, I found it even more absurd.

"If you don't leave, I'm calling the police."

Adrian Cole gave me a deep look, "I will surely get you back with me again."

In the following days, Adrian acted like he had gone mad, causing trouble for me every day.
