Chapter 1:

Evelyn Miller and I met in university, and after four years of college life, he proposed to me.

Finally, we got married under the witness of a meteor shower.

But I never expected that not even the seven-year itch had arrived, and Eric Grant had already started having an emotional affair.

[Tell me, what is this?]

I hysterically questioned Eric Grant, but he didn't even bother to respond.

After a long time, he looked at me with resentment.

[What does a housewife like you know? She's the daughter of the boss from our client company, working as my assistant.]

[It's very beneficial for both me and the company. If you don't understand, don't go snooping through my phone.]

After saying that, a special ringtone sounded, and he immediately walked to the balcony to take the call.

I couldn't ignore the tenderness in Eric Grant's voice, so similar to how he spoke to me back then.

Once he finished the call, he picked up a coat and left.

I grabbed my phone and chased after him, until in front of a hotel, I saw that young and pretty assistant.

The two embraced each other, kissing.

I stormed over, not expecting a large truck to rush indiscriminately forward.

When I opened my eyes again, I found myself standing on the lawn.

In front of me, Eric Grant was kneeling on one knee with a ring, looking at me sincerely.

I pinched myself. Could it be, I was reborn?

Just as I was thinking, Eric Grant suddenly stood up and looked at me impatiently.

[Why are you standing in front of me?]

The surrounding classmates exchanged glances, and those who had been enthusiastically shouting "Be together" fell silent.

I pretended to be confused and stepped back two steps.

[I was accidentally pushed out just now.]

The crowd was bewildered by my explanation.

But I didn't care; in the years of marriage with Eric Grant, I had already seen through his selfish and self-centered nature.

Given another chance, there's no way I would be with him again!

Eric Grant pushed through the crowd and stood in front of a young and innocent girl, looking at her affectionately.

[Evelyn Miller, would you be with me?]
