Location: Outer Gateyard – Sanctuary of the Breach
The alarm bell rang only three times — an old signal.
Not for breach.
Not for invasion.
But for inquisition.
Kael turned from Yanis, still resting inside the relic chamber, just as six figures descended from the sky in a storm of white light. Their robes bore the Seal of Virel — a gear-shaped sun wrapped in roots of gold. Beneath their hoods: faces like statues.
At the center of them stood a woman draped in translucent code-thread robes, floating inches off the ground.
Inquisitor-Rector Solvanna.
Her eyes glowed — not with power, but judgment.
> "Kael Varenth," she said, voice amplified by some divine modulation. "You, and those under your command, stand accused of violating the Divine Protocol."
> "Which part?" Kael asked coolly. "I've broken a few."
Solvanna didn't blink.
> "Tampering with fragments. Harbouring a marked soul. And worse — invoking relics sealed by the High Archive."
Aeyra stepped forward, face pale but defiant.
> "We saved a life."
> "You revived a soul that was chosen to be erased," Solvanna countered. "The Seed's will is law."
Behind her, the other members of the Seed Order raised their staffs — long spires with glowing cores that shifted and spiraled with data-script.
Kael clenched his fists.
> "We're not surrendering Yanis. Not now. Not ever."

Sanctuary Defenders vs. Seed Order
Before words could escalate, the air snapped.
The Seed Order fired the first strike — an arc of golden energy designed to paralyze.
Aeyra deflected it with a mana shield, cracking from the overload.
Kael vanished in a flicker of motion, reappearing behind one of the Order monks and disabling their core glyph.
But Solvanna was fast — faster than him.
She caught his blade mid-swing with a bare hand, converting the metal into frozen code with a single touch.
> "You're not just a rogue, Kael. You're a heretic."
> "Maybe," he said, "but at least I don't serve a blind god."
Yanis, weak but awake, stumbled into the chamber doorway.
Her aura flared — unstable but radiant.
> "They… want to erase me again?"
Aeyra nodded grimly. "They think you're still a threat."
> "Then maybe I should show them what kind of threat I really am."

Yanis' Awakening (Second Phase)
Light burst from her form as she entered a phase called the Soul Echo Reversal.
Her voice spoke in harmony — her own, and something older.
> "I was chosen by the Forge before Virel's codes were even whispered."
The energy wave from her core disrupted the entire battle for a moment, stunning both sides.
Solvanna recoiled, face twitching with rare unease.
> "Impossible. You're not… supposed to remember that."
Kael pulled Yanis behind him.
> "We're leaving. You want to arrest someone? Try later."
A gate rune ignited behind them — Aeyra's work, pre-inscribed for emergencies.
They escaped as the Seed Order attempted to collapse the ritual — but were a second too late.
The sanctuary was lost, but the fight was not.

Location: Unknown Forest Outskirts – Temporary Camp
Kael, Yanis, and Aeyra regrouped.
They now had a name to chase: The Forgemother — and a hunt to begin.
But more pressingly?
They were official enemies of the Divine Protocol.
Bounties would follow.
Allies would vanish.
But Kael smiled grimly.
> "About time they started fearing us."
