Sunday morning hit like a slap to the face.
Mina awoke to the buzz of her phone vibrating aggressively under her pillow, accompanied by a storm of message alerts. It was vibrating so hard, she thought it might actually fall off the nightstand and combust.
She groaned, rolled over, and squinted at the screen.

Mina stared at the screen like it was a crime scene.
"Oh no," she whispered.
Minseo stirred on the other side of the pillow barrier. "Hmm?"
She turned to him, phone still lit up like a horror movie flashlight. "We've gone viral. Among relatives."
He sat up, hair adorably tousled, squinting. "What happened?"
"You. You happened. And now my entire extended family thinks we're getting married in the fall."
She shoved the screen toward him. He scrolled for five seconds and winced. "...Oh. They really slowed it down."
"Yes. They added music. Instrumental OST music."
Minseo tried—and failed—to hide his laughter. "You're famous now. Among middle-aged aunts."
"I'll never recover."
She rolled out of bed and started pacing. "We were supposed to be done today. Go home. Fade into obscurity. I was going to block everyone and eat bingsu until I forgot your name."
Minseo leaned against the headboard, amused. "You could still do that."
Mina paused mid-pace. "Except now they want us to come to Grandma's birthday dinner next week. Together."
"Oh," he said.
"Oh," she repeated, arms flailing. "My grandma. Who is ninety-two and cries every time someone announces an engagement. If I don't show up with you, she'll think we broke up and literally pray over my womb."
Minseo bit his lip, hiding a smile. "Sounds serious."
"It is! This was supposed to be a one-weekend gig. Not a sequel. Not a romcom franchise!"
He tilted his head. "So what do you want to do?"
Mina sat down heavily on the edge of the bed, defeated. "What do you want to do? You're the actor."
Minseo was quiet for a beat.
Then he said, "If you want to keep it going… I'm in."
She blinked. "What?"
He met her eyes. "I said I'm in. I've done longer gigs. And I've never had one this fun."
Mina stared at him. "You call this fun?"
"You yell at me constantly. You pace like a stress giraffe. And your aunt low-key wants to dissect me for research."
"And that's enjoyable?"
He grinned. "You have no idea."
She flopped back onto the bed, face in a pillow. "I hate how weirdly supportive you are."
Minseo laughed and lay back beside her.
"Should I tell the agency to extend the contract?" he asked softly.
There was a pause.
Then Mina said, muffled, "Fine. But you're paying for dinner next time."
"Deal."
And just like that, the one-weekend gig turned into something… more.
