Your life is just a reflection of your choices

A week later the results were already clear. Hao Zhao was much stronger.

But Tian Liu needed to focus on his own cultivation so he gave Hao Zhao a training routine with a daily schedule he had to follow. It was similar to Tian Liu's schedule but easier and less work.

"So everyday, run 10 miles, do 500 pushups, pullups, squats, and situps, and remember do get your 3 hours of cultivation in."

"Alright."

Tian Liu started focusing on his own cultivation and got stronger and stronger.

"I need to get revenge on that bitch," Gao Wan was in the academy with Wei Lang. "I can't believe he made me a fool in front of so many people.

"Yea, how is it possible someone so weak like him could defeat our talents. He had to have used some third party to help him during that fight," Wei Lang added.

"That's it, we have to come out and expose him and tell everyone he has a third party helping him!"

Gao Wan and Wei Lang started immediately and spread rumors about Tian Liu

_

"We knew it Tian Liu, you have had a third party helping you all this time!" Some nobodies went up to Tian Liu.

Tian Liu thought for a bit and came to a conclusion. This was a random accusation that came out of nowhere. It probably started as a small rumor and nobody else would have the motivation to start this rumor except Gao Wan and Wei Lang.

'They want to try and make their loss seem less severe with this. Though this rumor is only benefiting me. I really couldn't hold my anger that day, but it seems like I am in luck!' Tian Liu thought.

"So what if I have a third party helping me?"

The nobodies were silenced.

Doing this would make Tian Liu seem weaker than he actually is, which was perfect for Tian Liu's plan.

__

"Was that asshole really using a third party to help him?" Wei Lang asked.

"Yea probably, there was no other way he could have beat us that easily," Gao Wan with a frustrated look on his face said.

"But who would want to help him?"

Gao Wan was silenced.

"Let's just go back to training."

__

"Clan leader, a 15 percent cultivator has beaten a 90, 80, and 75 percent cultivator together."

The messenger said, kneeling down on his knees.

The clan leader was in his study with reading glasses on. His desk was full of papers and there were bookshelves behind him.

"He's outside."

Tian Liu walked in the room.

"What's your name?"

"Tian Liu."

"I heard you've beaten your talented peers," the clan leader, Gu Xing Wong scratched his long white beard. "I'm only going to ask you this once. Did you have a third party help you?"

"And what if I did?"

"Nothing will happen if you admit it."

Truthfully Gu Xing Wong didn't want a third party to have helped him. Tian Liu had the possibility to be a good tool to increase the clan's reputation even if he had 15 percent qi purity. It would just be a pain if he had a third party help him.

'Hm, if I say someone helped me, that would make the attention on me more negative, but if I say no one helped me that would make the attention on me stay the same. Attention is attention, and currently I don't want that. If I say I had a third party help me, then Gao Wan and Wei Lang would work harder. But if I don't mention a third party then more doors would open. Life is just a collection of choices, and your results reflect your choices. What choice do I want my life to reflect?'

Tian Liu made up his mind, 'This will be fun.'

"One of your clan elders helped me."
