Chapter 5

The next day, I woke up early and surrendered myself to the makeup artists.

As I put on my wedding dress and looked at the radiant woman in the mirror, it dawned on me just how stunning I could be. And to think I was the one who had dragged myself into this quagmire.

The moment Vincent pushed the door open, his eyes flashed with stunned admiration, and he blurted out.

“Isabella, you look breathtaking.”

Sophia followed him in, a flicker of jealousy and resentment in her eyes as she said haltingly,

“You’re using A-list Hollywood makeup artists and wearing such an expensive gown... I feel so plain in comparison. I'm too ashamed to even stand next to you.”

Hearing this, Vincent immediately pulled Sophia into his arms to comfort her.

“Sophia, you don't need to feel insecure. In my eyes, you are the most beautiful angel. Today, you will be the most beautiful bride.”

With that, he roared at my makeup artists,

“Get over here and do Miss Sophia’s makeup and styling, now!”
