Chapter 22: Sky board

The next morning, the sun starts to shine above the horizon, Philip was meditating out alone because Free was doing something with the 'big weird shape cutting board" Philip calls.

Free was creating tiny holes in one of the two surfboard he brought, and on the another he wrote a wind spell [Torando]. Free wrote spells in each of the surfboard measuring the holes and the speed using physics. He wrote other things and starts to paint the surfboard that he create holes with blue and the other with white.

"What are you doing with the big cutting boards?" Philip asked, he wasn't meditating, he was looking at the board Free cutted and painted, Free didn't say anything he just continued his crafting and Philip sighs, he laid into the wet grass of the morning and stare at Free motivation disturbed.

Free Slowly cutted a two foot size holes to put his feet in the ine he didn't gave tiny holes, he then added a strap to the holes he created and then look at the one with holes and he then flashed a grin. "It's finally complete..." Free left the two board to dry in the morning sun.

"Still not saying" Philip muttered and he then got up from the grass and sat to meditate but it wasn't easy, he just left in frustration and goes to his room and slept again.

"Dear?" Hina's eye open, half lidded she look at Philip then she stare for a second longer and sleep back.

A hour later.... Lina woke up she look at the garden and she gasps as there was no Philip in the garden. "Where is lord Philip?" she muttered and quickly peeked at Hina's room philip was inside sleeping, she look at him and rubbed her eyes and goes down to make breakfast.

Hina too woke up after sometimes and she goes downstairs and outside the house in the garden she washed her face, her eyes landed on the boards Free place to dry one with many tiny holes and two with a foot shape hole with straps around it, she blink once, twice and then shrugged. In the kitchen Hina was making omelet with the egg Philip got from a rock bird she fry it and Lina place plates and bowls in the dining table.

They completed the breakfast and Hina go outside. "Breakfast is rea–" she remember Philip was on his bed, she sighs and goes upstairs and enters her room, then she pull the blanket from the bed. "Dear, breakfast is ready" she said, Philip open his eyes half lidded he look at Hina and then got up from bed.

At breakfast table Philip was eating his breakfast slowly, eyes still half lidded, Hina and Lina looked at him with stunned gaze, he turn to the two. "what happen? Is there something on my face".

"No it's that you are less energetic and you also didn't meditate till we called you for breakfast" Hina said, she ate the egg and the porridge trying to turn her gaze off from Philip.

"Is that so" Philip said, unfazed he ate his breakfast, the silence was awkward Very awkward as Philip never ate his food with that much silence.

"Is he really okay" Hina whispered to Lina and Lina leaned closer to her.

"I don't think lord Philip is okay, we should took him for a check up" Lina said, she stare at Philip who was silently eating his food.

Hinata came running down the stair with a smile, she enter the dining table and took her plate and ate the food then her eye shift to Philip who was quietly eating his food eyes half lidded. "Papa are you sick?"

"No i'm not" Philip turn to her in confusion. "Why?"

"It's just that the breakfast was never this quiet" Hinata said, she look at Philip and Philip look at her, both were now confused.

"Am i really that loud" Philip asked, swallowing the soup.

"you're never this silent" Hina said.

"Not even once in 19 years" Lina added, the three look at philip nodding and philip's eye twitched.

"I– is that so" he ate his food but choked on it.

At afternoon... Someone knock on the door and Elina open the door, it was Sylvia cheeks slightly pink, wearing a blue dress and a basket of cookies in her hand, she look inside the house then down at Elina. "Is Free here?" she asked, and Elina then look inside and enters the kitchen where Hina and Lina were cooking lunch.

"Mom, where is brother?" she asked, Hina and Lina turn to her.

"Didn't he go out?" Lina said, then she pause and tapped a finger in her lip. "No he he always tell us before going out" Lina turn to Hina and Hina look at her.

"When i entered the dining table his food were already eaten" she said, both were now confused and Sylvia enters the kitchen, she gave a greeting bow to Hina and Lina.

"Free isn't here" She asked putting the basket down in the table. Hina and Lina then look up and down.

"His mana isn't inside the house" Hina said, scanning the mana of the house. Just then...

"Brother what are you doing in the sky!!!" Hinata voice came from outside and everyone inside hearing it go outside and their jaws drop, literally, Free was flying in the sky with the board.

He was gliding in the sky like a bird, calm and focused Hinata mouth was open she just stared at blue color in the sky.

Morning...

Free woke up from his bed and wore the blue coat, he enter the dining table and quickly ate his breakfadt and left outside, after a while Hina enter and took the plates, Free outside sat in the garden with the two boards, now dried, he took the nails and hit it in the board using the hammer, he fixed them together and then look at it, he scanned. "Looks good enough" He said, and then he put his feet in the feet shape holes and gently put the straps on. "okay, strap's ready" he said.

Free channels his mana in the board and the grass nearby starts to bend by the air coming from the tiny holes of surfboard Free grin and put more mana in it, the board starts to float above the ground. "It's working" Free channels more mana and slowly the board starts to fly above higher. "Finally it's working" Free said, he slowly send some force infront and the board move forward, Free finally gave a faint laugh he then stop channeling mana and the board slowly descent into the ground. "Finally it's working" Free excitement took over him and. "Woah!" Woosssh. He accidentally channel too much mana and the board launch into the sky with high speed. "Th– this is dangerous!" Free yelled in the sky, no one heard.

Red birds flyng in the sky were suddenly hit by Free, theylook at him with shock and Free tried to control the surfboard but it only fly higher. "I have to go back to the ground before i run out of mana!" he yelled, he tried to take control but the board kept on going higher.

5 hours later.....

Free was flying in the clouds he was gasping for air. "This is bad" he said, he was still flying with nothing to see in the clouds, he took a deep breathe.

"Okay if i can calculate the falling force and let myself fall i can go back to the ground and gently used mana to float before touching the ground. It can work" He stop chanelling mana and he starts to fall to the ground the air was high Free eye was having a hard time to open, he cast a ice spell making a ice wall in the sky, in the ground there was no village, Free grin and he was falling to the sky ground, he was closing the gap to the ground and then, he channels mana into the board slowly, the board start to fly again but the fall was too fast. "I had to channel all the mana i have" Free said, he channel all the mana he had into the board, his body glowed yellow and finally the board float above the ground just feet away.

Free exhaled. "I did it" he then look at his hand he wasn't feeling tired, the mana he had was still in him full, he blink completely confused. "my mana didn't even got drained a bit after that hours of flying" he look at his hands, the seal inside him glowed but Free didn't know he then channel mana to his board again, this time slowly and it float above the tree. "Okay now" Free said and he starts to fly back to the village....

Back at the village Free fly above the house of the villagers, some look up from their houses and stall and others too who were either buying or doing nothing. "That is Free!!!" A boy yelled, pointed at Free and he wave his hand to the boy and turn to his house direction.

Back at the garden, Hinata was picking flower making a crown for herself when a shadow passed through her head, she look up and her jaw drop in disbelief "Brother what are you doing in the Sky!!!" she yelled.

Back to present....

Free landed infront of them he fall into the grass by butt. "That was tiring" he said, exhaling deeply.

"What were you doing in the damn sky!" Hina shouted, Free flinched a little.

"I was just testing my skyboard" he said, opening the straps.

"Testing.....you say that testing!!!!" Hina yelled. "You could've been injured or worse!" she said, smacking Free by the head.

"ow!. I'm sorry mom. But i have calculated the force using physics" Free said, holding his head as his head ached.

"What did you say phy-what?" Hina looked at him, confused by the unfamiliar word.

'Crap i forget physics doesn't exist here' he thought, sweating a bit. "Nothing" he said, then Hinata approach him.

"Brother can you make one for me too!!" Hinata cutely asked, giving a puppy eye stare to Free, he smiled.

"Absolutely not!" Hina denied and Hinata pouted but didn't object. "And Free you too don't ever do that agai–"

"Come on mom, i won't get injured i promise also i design it to be always on balance by all sides so it won't fall except inexperience people can fall" he said, pleading to her and Hina look at him, she opened her mouth but the word stuck in her throat.

"Fine! Just don't do dangerous stunts" She said, sighing. And with that Hina and Lina both went inside the house leaving, Hinata, Free, Elina and Sylvia.

"Yes" Free clench his fist, just then Sylvia approach him."?"

"F-Free you created a beauti—ful thing..." she shyly said.

"Want a ride" Free asked, Sylvia face went as red as a tomato.

"Wh-No i can't! Two people may be too much! You are drained maybe! Yes you need some co-cookies i brought s-some" Sylvia said, waving her hand, her face was red from neck. 'Me riding in sky with Free!!!!' she thought, imagining flying in the sky with Free.

Free looked at her confused. "uhh... I was saying if you want a ride in it.....alone" he said, Sylvia Froze her imagination shattered.

"O-oh that...." she said, but her eyes locked on Hinata who had already put strapped of the board to her tiny feet.

"Now, I will fly!!!" she said, nothing happen, she look down and tried to jump but the grass beside the board didn't even flinch. "Why?!"

Free look at Hinata then he crack a grin. "You need to transfer mana in it which you...lack" Free said, opening Hinata straps, She sighs and fall into the ground.

"Nooo! I wanna ride the sky too!" she yelled rolling left and right into the grass.

"Okay, but only with me" Free said, and Hinata face lit up she hugged Free.

"You're the best brother!" she said, laughing happily.

"Brother can...i too ride it" Elina hesitantky asked and Free nodded, she then giggle and hugged him."Thanks"

"So Sylvia do you wanna try it too" Free asked, turning to Sylvia, her face and ears were down by the earlier shattering. "Sylvia?" Free said, he tap her face and Sylvia return to the world again .

"Wh-what!" She squeaked.

"I said, do you want to ride it" he said, looking at her, Sylvia look away cheeks flushed..

"N-No i'm scared of height" She said, her blush was now faintly pink.

"Okay..." Free said, looking at her.

"Lunch is ready!!" Hina called out from inside the house.

"Will you eat with us today" Free asked,and Sylvia nodded and the 4 went inside the house.
