The Bunny Wasn't In The Script!!!

Leon ran faster than he ever had in his entire life. It was as if his life depended on it… and well, it did. The crimson-eyed rabbit was still chasing him while occasionally destroying the grassland around them with terrifying swipes.

He didn't even dare to look behind him, afraid it would slow him down for even a second—just enough for the rabbit to catch up to him. And he had no desire to become its meal anytime soon.

'Think. Think. What do I do?' Leon's mind raced with all kinds of thoughts as he desperately tried to come up with a way to save himself.

'I still have the strength of the game world's Leon, so it means I'm still in that world… but I don't remember adding something like this. It's definitely related to that portal.'

The only reason he was able to outrun the rabbit at all was because of the strength he now possessed, one that surpassed the limits of a normal human.

The previous Leon had trained hard and accumulated that power, which was now buying him precious time.

But it still wasn't enough to actually defeat the monster.

Just then, Leon felt a chill on his back and hurriedly jumped to the side—just in time to avoid getting his spine pierced by the rabbit's terrifying fangs.

He gasped for air, stumbling as he landed, and stared at the crimson-eyed beast, whose fangs were now embedded in the dirt. It wouldn't be stuck for long.

'Wait! This rabbit seems familiar…'

Now that Leon finally had a moment to properly look at the creature, something clicked in his memory.

'That's the Crimson Rabbit from the dungeons I made,' Leon realized, and swiftly came up with a plan.

He didn't have time to fully process his situation. All he knew was that if he didn't kill this thing somehow, he was going to die.

And this was his only chance.

He picked up a sharp stone from the grass and sprinted toward the rabbit, who was just seconds away from freeing itself. Its crimson eye locked onto him, and it raised a massive, clawed paw to slash him down.

As the metal-like claws descended, Leon didn't slow down. He watched the timing carefully, then jumped just before the claws could slice him in half.

Midair, he landed on the first paw and used its downward momentum to launch himself forward. The second claw came at him to crush him like a fly, but he had already chosen a blind angle—one the rabbit couldn't cover.

In no time, he was right in front of the rabbit's face, staring directly into its massive crimson eye.

For a split second, his body froze.

Then the fear of dying kicked back in.

He snapped out of it and smashed his fist into the upper part of one of its fangs—not because he expected damage, but to force a reaction.

The rabbit pulled back instinctively, trying to protect its fangs, but Leon took the opening. He grabbed its lips and yanked them up to expose the base where the fangs connected to the jaw.

Without hesitation, he slammed the stone down into that spot.

Blood splattered in a violent fountain.

It wasn't enough to kill the rabbit, so he kept going—again and again—hammering at the same spot, his hands soaked in blood, his body moving on nothing but adrenaline and willpower. Finally, the fang cracked loose from the jaw.

The rabbit shrieked and pulled back, its eye locked on Leon with unfiltered rage.

It stood upright and raised both of its clawed hands high above its head, as if preparing to crush him.

Leon didn't wait.

He grabbed the loose fang—nearly the size of his forearm—and drove it straight into the rabbit's belly like a dagger. The fang sank in with a disgusting ease, as if he were stabbing cotton.

There was no blood. No scream.

The monster simply froze, then dissolved into a burst of glowing light particles.

All that remained was a small red orb sitting in the grass.

Leon dropped onto his butt, chest heaving, blood caked all over his hands and clothes. He stared at the red orb in disbelief.

But it also confirmed his theory.

Somehow, he had ended up inside the only SSS-Rank dungeon from the same gacha game he'd created.

The thing that made it special—aside from its rank—was that it was the best grinding zone in the entire world. It had exclusive drops, top-tier enemies, and was only accessible to the game's main character.

'Was that portal that dragged me into this world actually the entrance to this dungeon?' Leon wondered. 'Then who's controlling it? Why was I dragged here in the first place?'

He had a mountain of questions, but no answers.

The only clue he had… was this dungeon, and the fact that it was somehow tied to him.

'Now, how do I get out of here? There's no exit button here…' Leon thought as he reached for the red orb. The moment his fingers touched it, a translucent hologram flickered to life in front of him.

[Energy Orb (Level 7) +1]

A small smile formed on his lips. It was the first familiar thing in this insane world.

But before he could celebrate—

A shadow fell over him.

Leon's instincts screamed in alarm. He tried to move, but he was just a little too slow.

Something slammed into his head with terrifying force.

A blinding crack echoed through the air as his skull shattered from the impact.

And he died.

...

Leon jolted awake in his bed, his head burning as if someone had dumped molten iron inside his skull.

Pain flooded his senses.

He screamed at the top of his lungs, clutching his head as the agony overwhelmed everything else.

It felt like someone was smashing a sledgehammer against his brain, over and over, trying to crack it open. His body curled up instinctively, drenched in sweat, trembling violently.

The pain lasted only a few seconds.

But to Leon, it felt like a lifetime.

By the time it finally faded, he lay sprawled on the bed, his limbs shaking, his eyes bloodshot, his throat dry as sandpaper. Even though the pain was gone, the aftershocks lingered in every part of his body.

'W-What the hell was that? What happened?' Leon blinked blearily, his eyes locking onto the air conditioner on the ceiling.

Relief washed over him like a wave.

He recognized it.

It was his dorm room.

He was back.

For the first time since he'd entered this nightmare, his surroundings felt normal.

Safe.

And with that realization, the exhaustion finally won.

He let his body fall slack, and his eyes drifted shut.

He was afraid...afraid that the moment he closed his eyes, he would wake up in the dungeon again. But his body had been pushed to its limits.

He couldn't stay awake any longer.

He didn't want to think.

He just wanted to sleep.

'Maybe when I wake up,' he thought as his mind faded into darkness, 'I'll be back on Earth again… in my tiny apartment with no social life.'
