In the morning, Maria woke up early as always—she loved waking up at dawn. She got ready, then headed to the kitchen and prepared breakfast for Julie and Julia.
An hour later, they both woke up, got dressed, and went to the kitchen.
Julie (sniffing):
– Good morning... mmm, what a nice smell!
Maria:
– Good morning! Of course it smells good—because I made the breakfast.
Julie:
– Wow! So, you like cooking?
Maria:
– So much. Come on, let's eat together.
Julia:
– Let's go!
Julie (taking a bite):
– Wow, this is delicious! Wait... how did you know what Julia and I love this kind of breakfast?
Maria (pointing at the fridge):
– I saw your meal schedule and followed it.
Julie:
– Oh right! I totally forgot about that.
Maria:
– And tomorrow, I'll cook what's listed for the next day.
Actually... I have a question.
Julie:
– You can ask anything, anytime. No need to ask for permission.
Maria:
– Where do you go every morning?
Julie & Julia together:
– To university.
Maria (surprised):
– University? I thought you were on a vacation.
Julia:
– Nope, but the vacation is coming up. Right now, we're taking our final exams.
Maria (smiling):
– Best of luck!
Julie:
– Thanks!
Maria:
– Can I come with you today?
Julia:
– Of course!
Maria:
– I'm done eating, I'll go get ready.

Max:
– Good morning, Dad.
John:
– Good morning, son.
Max:
– Did you have breakfast?
John:
– Yes. Come sit and eat.
Max:
– I'll be late for university though.
John:
– There's still plenty of time.
Max:
– I have an important exam today. I want to go early and review.
John:
– At least eat first.
Max:
– As you wish, Dad.
John:
– Mirna, bring Max breakfast.
Max, once you're back from uni, we'll go look for that girl.
Max:
– Alright, Dad.

The girls got ready and headed to the university looking stunning.
On the way, Maria said:
Maria:
– I want to continue my studies... but right now, I'm here... and I don't even know if I'll return to Mexico or not.
Julia:
– What do you want?
Maria:
– I want to sell the house I lived in and settle here.
Julie:
– Then no problem—we'll go to Mexico next week.
Maria:
– Really? Thank you so much!
Julie (smiling):
– Didn't I tell you? No thanks between sisters!
Maria (laughing):
– Oh right, I forgot!

When they arrived at the university, everyone was stunned by how beautiful they looked—especially Maria.
Guy 1:
– I've never seen her before.
Guy 2:
– She must be new.
A well-known arrogant girl at the uni saw them and scoffed.
The girl:
– Who do they think they are?
Her friend:
– You're right!
Julie (to Maria):
– At noon we have an exam. I'm sorry, but they won't let you in with us. Could you wait here in the courtyard?
Maria:
– Of course.

At noon, Maria sat on a bench, waiting.
Maria (to herself):
– Wow… the weather is so nice.
A man approached, his gaze fixed unsettlingly on her.
Man:
– You're the beautiful one, not the weather.
Maria's heart raced as unease crept in.
Maria:
– W-who are you? Please, leave me alone.
Man (smirking):
– How can I resist such beauty? Ever since I saw you with your friends, I can't forget you.
Maria stepped back, alarmed.
– Stay away!
Man:
– I won't. What can you do? Scream if you want.
Suddenly, he moved quickly, reaching for the scarf she wore, attempting to silence her protests. Maria struggled, fear gripping her as he led her toward a more secluded spot, away from prying eyes.
She tried to break free, but his grip was firm. The tension was unbearable.
Just then, Max, returning from his exam, heard a noise nearby.
Max:
– Is someone there?
