CHAPTER 13: FIRST TURNED VAMPIRE

"It seems you already know the answer to that question," Aaron said, his voice smooth and knowing, easily reading the resignation etched across Blade's weathered face.

"You've seen it, haven't you? How I wield blood like a weapon, my godlike regeneration, my strength and physique that defy reason," Aaron continued, a smirk curling his lips as he flexed his Vampire Primogenitor powers. With a flick of his wrist, he manipulated a crimson tendril of blood, coiling it through the air like a living serpent. To drive the point home, he severed his own arm with a casual swipe, only for the wound to knit shut in seconds, his SSS+ vitality weaving flesh and bone back together in a mesmerizing display. He then crushed a nearby boulder with a single, mana-infused punch, the stone crumbling to dust under his B- strength, amplified by his SS+ mana.

"Why show me this? I'll forget it all anyway," Blade muttered, his voice heavy with resignation, his eyes wide as he absorbed Aaron's overwhelming display of power. He couldn't fathom how a recent graduate, supposedly E-rank at best, possessed such strength. The allure was undeniable—Blade craved that power, envisioning it safeguarding the orphanage, its children, and its workers, the only family he had left.

"You can have this power," Aaron said, his tone shifting to one of calculated generosity. "I can elevate you to a level beyond your wildest dreams. But there's a catch—you'd serve under me." He laid out the stick and carrot: the stick, a stark reminder of Aaron's dominance, shown through his effortless overpowering of a B-rank hunter like Daniel; the carrot, the promise of vampiric strength and a daylight ring to walk in sunlight, a gift from the *Daylight Ring Manufacturer*.

Blade pondered for mere seconds, his mind racing through the weight of the choice. Kneeling, he bowed his head. "I want your power," he said, his voice firm despite the tremor of awe.

Aaron nodded, his primogenitor instincts guiding him. He grasped Blade's arm, his fangs sinking into the flesh with surgical precision, injecting his potent blood. "Let's go before it takes effect," he said, leading Blade out of the dungeon, his steps purposeful.

As a Vampire Primogenitor, Aaron knew the process intimately. Blade's system would die within thirty minutes of the bite, his body shutting down as the transformation began. Two hours later, he would resurrect, craving Aaron's blood to complete the change. They checked out of the dungeon, fulfilling the Hunter's Association's verification with the guards stationed outside, their bored expressions oblivious to the monumental shift occurring.

At a safe distance, where Aaron's heightened senses detected no prying eyes, he opened a rift to the *Sanctuary*, its cosmic energy shimmering like a starlit veil. They stepped through, arriving on the vast island floating in an endless void, its castle looming under a starry sky, surrounded by lush forests and a crystalline lake teeming with life.

Thirty minutes passed, and Blade's heart stopped, his body paling as death claimed him, a lifeless husk on the castle's stone floor. Aaron waited, his crimson eyes watchful. Two hours later, Blade awoke, a crazed demon lunging at Aaron with feral hunger, his eyes glowing red with newborn vampiric instinct.

Aaron overpowered him effortlessly, his SSS+ strength pinning Blade down. He fed Blade his blood, drop by drop, until the frenzy subsided, and clarity returned to Blade's eyes, now sharp with newfound power.

*Congratulations! You have turned Blade into a Viscount Vampire!*

"How do you feel?" Aaron asked, his tone calm but curious.

"Stronger. Faster. More alive," Blade said, his voice thrumming with exhilaration, his body vibrating with the vigor of a viscount vampire.

"Here," Aaron said, tossing him a daylight ring, its rune-etched surface glinting faintly. "Wear this, or the sun will fry you to ashes. At night, if the hunger for human blood hits, think of this place to isolate yourself. For the next twenty-four hours, you'll need only my blood. I'll handle your long-term blood supply soon." With that, Aaron left the *Sanctuary*, reappearing instantly in his house, having anchored it as one of his five dimensional locations for seamless teleportation.

*Ring ring.* His phone buzzed as he settled in.

"Yo, Leo, what's up?" Aaron answered, his voice casual.

"I've been calling for ages, mate! Teacher Alice wants to talk to you—one-on-one tomorrow! You're one lucky bastard. I'm jealous!" Leo exclaimed, his voice dripping with envy.

"Teacher Alice?" Aaron asked, puzzled. Since his reincarnation, the only Skyhold instructor he knew was Daniel, now dead. Alice was a blank.

"Yeah! So, you coming to school tomorrow?" Leo pressed.

"Nope. Busy. Got stuff to do," Aaron shot back, dismissing the idea.

"What's so important you're ditching Teacher Alice, you dumbass?" Leo growled, incredulous.

"Stuff, Cyclops! Entrance exam's a month out. I'm preparing," Aaron said vaguely.

"Preparing as a spectator?" Leo scoffed. "Never knew it took so much effort."

"If you're aiming for gold, it does," Aaron replied cryptically, his confidence unshaken.

"What's that mean? You don't even have a talent, bro. Don't throw your life away over pride. Plenty of folks would jump at the chance to hurt you and call it an accident," Leo said, his tone shifting to genuine concern.

"Don't worry, Leo. Two weeks from now, you'll be shocked. Just wait," Aaron said, his voice brimming with assurance. He hung up, his mind already pivoting to the blood supply issue.

He could buy blood from hospitals with his wealth, but the suspicion it would attract was a risk he couldn't afford. "Only the system can bail me out now," Aaron sighed, frustration creeping in as he resigned himself to the whims of the next lucky draw.

On a desolate planet far from Blue Star, two humans sat alone, their chessboard a stark contrast to the lifeless wasteland around them. These demigods, among the human race's mightiest, played with the weight of eons in their moves.

"Where do you think they hid it?" Rain asked, sliding a pawn forward, his eyes glinting with ambition.

"No clue. But their death buys us time to search," Cain replied, his voice calm but laced with determination.

"If it's at the universe's edge, we're screwed. We need that divine elixir to break the demigod chains and ascend to godhood," Rain said, his hunger for evolution palpable.

"We'll find it. First, we visit their home and their son. See if he knows anything," Cain suggested, stroking his beard thoughtfully.

"Two weeks to Blue Star. Our pawns there might have a lead," Cain added, moving his bishop.

"Settled, then," Rain said, sliding his knight with a triumphant grin. "Checkmate!" The victory felt like a prelude to their greater ambitions.
