The Duke nodded. "It's possible. The humans have been known to infiltrate kingdoms they wish to subjugate. They are clever in their manipulation, and they have their ways."
The Night King expression darkened. "I see no reason to believe this *girl* is any more dangerous than she appears. I've seen her, spoken with her. She's an anomaly, yes, but not an enemy."
The tension was thick, but Mortair added his voice again, his tone now more urgent. "Still, Your Majesty, the threat of magic cannot be dismissed. There are ancient forces at play here. If this human is indeed harboring powers—whether unknown to her or not—it could destabilize the entire kingdom."
"The *magic*?" The night king lips curled into a small, dangerous smile. "And what if this power could be... *harnessed*?"
The room fell silent. Lady Vaerra's icy eyes met The Night King. "Are you suggesting that you would keep her here as more than a... guest? A mere mortal among us?"
The Night King leaned back in his chair, his fingers tapping on the edge of the table. "She's not just a guest. She's a part of my plan. And if you think she's a threat, then perhaps you should trust that I know how to deal with it."
A silence stretched, each member of the council unsure whether to push further or fall in line.
Then, the conversation shifted
