As they reflected on their journey and the future of the movement, Immaculate and Tamaraumiebi began to seriously consider succession planning, for they can't bare to loose everything after the all what they have gone through. They knew that the sustainability of their work depended not on their individual presence, but on the strength of the leadership pipeline they had built.
"We need to ensure the center, and the entire network, can thrive long after we're no longer at the helm," Tamaraumiebi stated during a strategic review. "It's about empowering the next generation of leaders in building and showing them the right part to follow."
Immaculate identified key individuals within their team and the broader network who demonstrated exceptional leadership potential, integrity fueled by love and respect, and a deep commitment to the lives and the community at large. They began to mentor these individuals more intensively, gradually entrusting them with greater responsibilities and decision-making authority. It was a thoughtful and deliberate process of knowledge transfer and empowerment, ensuring a seamless transition when the time came. They were building a legacy that would outlive their direct involvement, a testament to their foresight and unwavering faith in the human capacity for leadership.
