Stepping back from direct leadership didn't mean disengagement. Instead, it allowed Immaculate and Tamaraumiebi to focus on a broader vision of their journey: strengthening the entire network of community centers, advocating for their model on a global scale, and providing strategic guidance to the new generation of leaders. They became mentors to mentors and great teacher to teachers, thought leaders who continued to shape the discourse around community-led development.
"Now we have the space to truly innovate at a higher level," Tamaraumiebi mused during a planning session for the network. "We can focus on systemic change, on influencing policy, and on truly scaling our impact."
Immaculate dedicated herself to research and writing, documenting their journey and distilling their methodologies into accessible resources for other communities around the world. Their love story and their journey of life, was once a private journey, had become a public beacon now, inspiring countless others to believe in the transformative power of community. They were no longer just building centers; they were building a global movement of hope and resilience fueled by their unending love for each other, rooted in the simple yet profound truth that love, when shared, can indeed change the world positively and make it a better place.
