A/N:
From now on, I will put a Bible verse at each chapter I make. Enjoy!
John 12:46 - I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.

Aeris stared at the blue screen that was presented to him. It was a character creation screen for himself in his new, upcoming life.
Staring at the first thing that was there, Aeris noticed that he could put a new name for himself that he would have. He didn't mind his name at all, but he would probably need to change his last name to something exciting.
"Hmm, what kind of a last name should I use? Something cool, something that would sound catchy and cool at the same time!" He was happy that he had escaped the endless suffering—or worse.
All kinds of names and ideas went through his head, from games to real-world last names.
"It would be funny if my last name were Hi... Yeah, it's a horrible last name after all..."
Aeris thought for a second and suddenly got an idea. "That's it! My last name should be something iconic and unique to the world of Danmachi. Okay... I will write my last name like this..."
He began tapping the letters on the screen with his two hands. Each time he pressed on the box containing a letter, it released a beep sound.
Typing....
Aeris Aetheris
Name Complete!
Aeris blinked when the pop-up message appeared and quickly disappeared back into the realm of non-existence. He was now a man with a proper first and last name—his last name went on with his first.
He wanted something catchy and symbolic, but he cared more about it sounding catchy and unique rather than having some deeper meaning.
With that done, Aeris went to check the second option, and there was an option for gender and a race to choose from.
He chose to be male again—not like he would ever want to be a female. Not because women are weaker or any meaning that one feminist would think of, but because he couldn't imagine himself in a woman's body.
Then, as he picked the male gender, Aeris went on to choose a race, and his troubles were just about to start.
"Oh... I have various options of the races that are in the world of Danmachi. From an elf to a bestial race—cat, weretiger, werewolf, etc..." Aeris scrolled through all the available races, but his mind thought of one he would always like to be.
It stood in the middle of the scroll screen—an elven race, a race that was gifted with magic and long life.
Not just that, but they were respected and wanted among the Gods for their familias, unlike humans, who were considered to be the weakest race.
"I don't get how all those main characters from fiction are still chosen to remain human. It's like their authors lacked creativity..." Aeris thought as he clicked on the elven race, choosing to be the elf in his next life.
He could also choose a sub-race among the elven race, such as dark elf, high dark elf, and high elf, which was Riveria. Dark elves were much rarer than the normal ones, especially dark high elves, which were the rarest.
Then there were the high elves—usual non-dark high elves that were royalty just like their dark-skinned brethren. Most noticeable changes were the skin color, but dark elves also used a different type of magic than their white-skinned brethren.
Aeris stopped for a second and thought of whether he should pick a sub-race. Wanting to go for something more unique, he clicked on the tab where it said dark elf.
"I could've picked the regular or high elf like Riveria is, but dark elves are very rare, plus they are pretty cool and have a different type of magic."
He commented with a little smirk on his face. It was true that the dark elves in the current era of Danmachi were rare. They were greatly slaughtered by the monsters during ancient times, making them very rare in the current times.
Only a few dark elf characters were mentioned in the lore so far, so picking up this race would give him an advantage for familias and possibly, strong magic.
Next to his character creation was the looks, and once he had come to that phase, he was shocked to see a fully detailed creation screen.
He could choose eye color, his eyebrow shape, hair color, and every other single detail on his body. But since he was too lazy to do it, he clicked on the option in the lower corner of the screen that said "randomize."
A dark elven male character appeared on the screen. He looked rather nice, but Aeris had to change some stuff up to his liking.
Firstly, he changed from long hair to shorter silver hair—not too short and not too long, perfectly balanced.
Second, his eyes went from yellow to silver, matching his hair perfectly. Plus, the silver eyes looked very nice.
He spent ten long minutes checking all options and changing his looks to his liking. At the end, his height went from 182 cm to 200 cm, just like in his past life.
Not that he had a complex or anything, but he was used to his original height. Plus, people always admired him for it. It also came in handy for long walks, and generally, it was imposing for someone to be that tall.
With the looks set, the only thing left for Aeris to do was to click complete and finish his character creation.
"It's all over... but weird how there wasn't an option for me to choose a weapon or any power, like come on." He sighed in disappointment and hoped that those three strong skills would be really strong.
Aeris gulped for one last time and took a deep breath. Once he was to click complete, a new life would come. He would experience a new world—the world he had seen only in his favorite anime.
He knew that it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows; the world of Danmachi could be very unforgiving and brutal. Not everyone was Bell, who had plot armor and an OP skill—regular people had it hard.
But...
He wasn't a regular guy; he was a reincarnator who had the three overpowered skills ready for him and a perfectly made character.
Plus, he had his past life experience and knowledge about combat, survival, and the anime series and its lore.
However, he did not know at which time he would arrive, but still, he was prepared to use his powers to their best ability and use his new life fully.
"Okay... let's do this!" Aeris yelled, and his hand pressed the complete button. Then suddenly, the blue screen disappeared, and everything went numb.
