Chapter 20: Text Interview

"Moshi Moshi~".

Ren quickly put down the kitchen knife and went to open the door.

Ayumi approached the door with a bag.

"Excuse me, Amamiya-san."

Since it was a holiday, she wasn't wearing a formal suit, but a simple T-shirt and tight jeans, and she carried a shoulder bag, which made her look a little younger and more beautiful than usual.

After all, Ayumi is only 22 years old.

However, upon entering, she unconsciously took off her canvas shoes.

Ren quickly said, "Ah, Ayumi-san, you don't need to take off your shoes, just come straight in."

Ayumi was stunned for a moment, but soon realized that this was the Republic, not her native Japan.

The main reason was that it was the first time she officially visited someone else's house since she had been in Tokyo for so long.

She had no qualms when she went to Ren's old, dilapidated rental house, and walked straight in with high heels.

But now Ren has moved to a large, sunny house, and he has kept it impeccably clean and tidy.

That's why Ayumi unconsciously paid attention. According to her people's custom, she had to take off her shoes when entering someone else's house.

Now that Ren reminded her, she reacted.

Tokyo is not her hometown in Japan, where you have to take off your shoes when entering someone else's house.

But... even in Tokyo, one should change shoes when entering someone else's house.

"Ah, this... I don't have slippers for you to change into at home."

Ren slapped his head and said, "Then just come in like that."

"Is that really... okay?"

Ayumi felt a little embarrassed.

"It's fine, I'll just mop the floor when the time comes. After all, I don't have any other slippers here. Do I have to go buy them now?" Ren asked, shrugging.

"No... no need," Ayumi said, a little embarrassed.

Her pretty face blushed, and she walked in with her canvas shoes, somewhat uncomfortably.

"Woof, woof!"

Pochita had also met Ayumi during that time. When Ayumi came in, she ran towards her and wagged her tail happily.

"Pochita."

Ayumi also liked Pochita very much and stroked her little head, which felt very good.

Ren asked curiously, "Ayumi-san, why did you come so early today? Didn't we agree that you would only come at 11 PM?"

We had already agreed on the phone. At 11, he prepared the ingredients and put them in the pot. He just needed to chat with Ayumi and Sakura, who were coincidentally there, and it would be almost time to eat.

But Ren took out his cell phone and looked at it. It was 9:53... Well, it was almost an hour early.

Ayumi handed the bag to Ren: "Amamiya-san, these are the lemons and mint leaves you said you wanted to buy."

"Is that why you came so early?" Ren asked, scratching his head. "No need, I just wanted you to buy something on the way."

"No, it's mainly about the written interview I told you about last time, Amamiya-san..." Ayumi asked, pulling a paper out of her bag.

"So that's it... But it doesn't have to be so early. And didn't we agree last time to send it to me by mail for me to complete?" Ren suddenly thought, but he still didn't understand.

"I thought it was convenient to come this time, so I brought it."

Ayumi said sincerely.

Ren looked at her in surprise, thinking that this Japanese person was really honest.

This kind of weekend break requires time to complete work.

If it were an ordinary person, I guess they would choose to send it during working hours to find an excuse to slack off and not have to occupy their time.

"So, is sensei free now? How about we finish the interview first?" Ayumi asked cautiously.

However, at that moment...

"Knock, knock, knock... Ren?"

There was another knock on the door, and this time it was Sakura's voice.

Ren scratched his head. Ayumi was fine, but why had Sakura arrived so early?

Still, he went to open it.

Sakura was no different. As always, she exuded the youth and vigor of a university student, as beautiful and charming as ever.

Upon entering, she saw Ayumi and greeted her first: "Hello, Ayumi."

"Hello, Sakura," Ayumi replied with some reservation.

To be honest, they didn't know each other very well during that time.

After all, except for the weekend, they had some encounters because of Ren, but none after she left.

This type of relationship is naturally not a very familiar relationship.

Sakura has a more outgoing personality and doesn't think there's anything embarrassing or reserved about this relationship.

But Ayumi is different, so she held back a bit.

Upon seeing Sakura appear, Pochita, who was originally at Ayumi's feet, immediately ran towards her and barked "Woof, woof!" with more joy.

The joy in her voice was evident.

She seemed to know that Sakura was her true owner, who had supported her before.

In other words, she considered her the same as Ren, who was also her owner, one of the masters.

Sakura picked her up and stroked her: "Pochita, I'm here, did you miss me?"

"Woof, woof!"

Pochita seemed to understand what Sakura was saying and barked happily, as if answering her.

"Sakura, come in first. By the way, you don't need to change your shoes. I didn't buy guest slippers."

Ren said with some distress: "It seems I have to buy disposable slippers then."

"No, next time I'll bring you a pair of slippers."

Sakura smiled: "After all, I have to go see Pochita every week. When there aren't so many people next semester, maybe I'll go see her when I don't have classes."

"Okay."

Ren didn't object.

Ayumi heard what Sakura said at that moment: "Then... why don't I bring my own slippers?"

"Okay, Ayumi-san, after all, you'll come to my house often," Ren said indifferently.

"Huh? Ren, what do you have in your hand?"

Sakura saw the interview questionnaire in Ren's hand and asked curiously.

"This?"

Ren held up the interview answer sheet and said, "They say they'll do a text interview for my "Edgerunners" in the next issue."

"Can I see it?" Sakura asked.

"Okay."

Ren directly handed the interview questionnaire to Sakura.
