Chapter 38 Domain

Outsiders couldn't possibly awaken that Martial Soul, which meant Tang San was born in Slaughter City. Yet Slaughter City only allowed entry with no exit - except Tang San had clearly come from outside!

Scott suddenly remembered something and declared with certainty: "It's the God of Slaughter! The seventh God of Slaughter! Only the seventh God of Slaughter born ten years ago could have made this possible!"

In Slaughter City, the rule of no exit was nearly absolute. The sole exception was the God of Slaughter! Those who obtained the God of Slaughter Domain were called Gods of Slaughter within Slaughter City - existences as terrifying as the Slaughter King himself.

Judging by Tang San's appearance, he was only about ten years old. The only one who fit the criteria was that man who became a God of Slaughter and left Slaughter City a decade ago!

Faced with this accusation, Tang San had no intention of answering. How could he foolishly admit: "Yes, I'm the son of a God of Slaughter, my mother is in Slaughter City, and I've returned to find her"?

Even when Scott had earlier questioned Tang San's origins, he'd only responded with a disdainful glance, revealing nothing about himself.

Seeing no response, Scott fell silent. As a Law Enforcer of Slaughter City, he knew this world extended beyond the black-walled confines of Slaughter City. If Slaughter City were all that existed, where would food come from? Where would Slaughter Envoys, Terror Knights, and fellow Law Enforcers originate and reside?

Tang San had noticed this issue upon arrival. His father had told him Slaughter City was nearby, yet this world appeared vast. Though only Slaughter City was visible, other settlements must exist elsewhere.

The most compelling evidence came from the strange vision during his Martial Soul awakening - that shattered world torn apart by two supreme powerhouses. Tang San surmised that world was this very realm containing Slaughter City.

A thought occurred to Tang San. Raised in the Clear Sky Sect, he understood a fundamental truth: the martial world wasn't just about combat. Even his sect maintained alliances with the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon School and Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School. Even Spirit Hall had sent congratulations through Titled Douluo Yue Guan during his awakening ceremony.

His upbringing in the Clear Sky Sect had exposed him to realities unknown to ordinary Soul Master families, naturally fostering different perspectives and approaches.

"Scott," Tang San said calmly, not the least flustered as he withdrew his Martial Soul, the strange phenomena vanishing with his Soul Power, "how I left or was born isn't your concern. I'll only tell you this: today, I've returned."

Tang San didn't fully understand what his Slaughter Martial Soul represented, but judging by the Law Enforcers' reactions, it held special significance in Slaughter City's world. If not as pivotal as the Clear Sky Hammer was to the Clear Sky Sect, it certainly wasn't an ordinary Martial Soul.

Thus Tang San made it clear to Scott - he had "returned." He wasn't like other intruders, nor had he come to challenge the Slaughter Arena or traverse the Road to Hell.

Hearing this, Scott indeed fell into contemplation, the killing intent around him dissipating. As a Law Enforcer, his duty was to stop those who entered Slaughter City through irregular means. That was their mission. But the person before him wasn't an outsider or a stowaway—he had credentials!

After pondering for a while, Scott retracted his spear and said, "We are the Law Enforcers of Slaughter City, tasked with stopping all illegal infiltrators. Since you've proven you aren't trespassing unlawfully, we have no reason to obstruct you."

Seeing Scott's fighting spirit fade, Tang San also smiled and cupped his hands in salute. "Thank you for your leniency. By the way, which way should I go?"

Scott pointed in a direction—not toward Slaughter City. From afar, no structures could be seen there at all.

Tang San had originally planned to enter Slaughter City first to inquire about the Slaughter Envoy's residence. But now that someone had pointed the way, he might as well follow it. If he couldn't find it, he could always enter the city later.

As Tang San walked away, one of the warriors behind Scott couldn't help but ask in confusion, "Captain, are we just letting him go? He's clearly from the outside."

"Yeah, if the Slaughter King finds out about this, we might be held accountable. After all, that mark represents..."

Hearing his subordinates' words, Scott sneered coldly. "A bunch of fools!"

"If he possesses the Slaughter Martial Soul yet can leave this place, it means he must be connected to the Seventh God of Slaughter. And you all know full well what that insignia represents. Either way, we can't afford to offend either party. So, it's better to let him pass."

"Besides, I didn't do anything wrong. Our duty as Law Enforcers is to stop illegal intruders and residents trying to leave Slaughter City. Since he has credentials, he isn't trespassing unlawfully."

Scott inwardly scorned these foolishly zealous subordinates. They were just doing a job—why go all out? What, would offending a God of Slaughter get them a raise? For all they knew, the God of Slaughter might be watching from afar. If he came charging, who'd be the one to face him?

"Then, Captain, should we report this to the Slaughter King?"

Scott snorted. "No need. The conflicts of those above are none of our concern. Stay out of it. Reporting it won't earn you the Slaughter King's gratitude, but the other side will kill you. Why do something that harms others and yourself?"

"If we're discovered, we'll just say the God of Slaughter brought him in. We have no way of sensing the movements of a God of Slaughter."

At this moment, Scott's subordinates couldn't help but admire their leader's wisdom. This mindset was truly worth learning from.

Scott narrowed his eyes, gazing into the distance as he murmured, "The heavens are about to be thrown into chaos. The era of bloodshed may return."

Of course, Tang San was unaware of all this.

Slaughter City wasn't the entirety of this world. As Tang Hao had said, Slaughter City was a capital, and he had once visited a place called the Road to Hell. That meant this world extended beyond just Slaughter City.

Tang San walked across the blackened earth, taking in the desolation around him with leisurely steps. He moved forward steadily, without pause, his direction clear.

Tang San wasn't in a hurry, because he had discovered that his second Martial Soul was finally revealing some of its ferocity.

A Domain—an Innate Domain!

Generally, it only appears when a Soul Master reaches the Titled Douluo level and obtains their ninth Soul Skill.

Moreover, the chance of it appearing is only one in ten. Apart from obtaining it at the Titled Douluo level, it can only be inherently carried by one's Martial Soul or acquired later, like Tang Hao's God of Slaughter Domain.

Tang San's aunt, Tang Yuehua, possesses a mutated Clear Sky Hammer. Although it cannot be cultivated, she has an innate Innate Domain—the Noble Circle.

Tang San never expected that while the Clear Sky Hammer didn't have an innate Domain, his second Martial Soul actually did!
